VOI Kiwengwa Resort

I came here in 2002 when the hotel was managed by Iberostar and there was a direct flight to Zanzibar from Madrid. The food was gorgeous and the beds were super comfortable. The hotel was a dream and the beach in front of it even more so. I totally recommend it.

We spent Christmas at VOI Kiwengwa and I must admit that it was amazing! The service and animation team organized many attractions and activities during the day. On Christmas Eve, we were served a special Christmas buffet and surprised by a spectacular show followed by the visit of a Santa Claus. Really, huge applause for the management team which takes care of the guests and introduces a warm and cheerful atmosphere to make you feel good during your stay. It was not my first Christmas spent on holiday, but this hotel definitely stands out.

Also, as our flight was before midnight there was no problem with late checkout, but it is extra paid. We really encourage you to reward the service with tips for their great work. We wanted especially to praise Ali, who is serving sunbeds - he is so extremely dedicated to his work, always with a smile and taking care of your good day at the beach!

For those who like to party, Kiwengwa, in general, is not a clubbing area, but 5 min from the hotel there is a restaurant with parties on selected weekdays and also hotel has taken ~80 guests to a local club free of charge. Had so much fun!

The only drawback is safe boxes placed in the reception (not in the rooms) and the lack of a gym.

Excellent welcoming reception from the staff!!! Employees very friendly and treat others with respect! Enjoyed the food and entertainment is gallo!! Also went to Shambaland with the crew!!!

Amazing experience. The resort has a strong Italian culture, which was a very great experience. The Bravo team (the activities team) kept us engaged with beach sports, shows, beach party hopping and yoga. I would definitely recommend this beach to anyone wanting an amazing island experience.

A beautiful hotel with a pool and direct access to the beach. The rooms are clean, with A/C, kettle and shower appliances, and they serviced every day. The staff is very friendly and helpful. During the meal time there's a wide variety of choices (meat, fish, raw and cooked vegetables, fruits, bread, etc). We loved our stay here.

We spent here our honeymoon! Our room had a sea view. Food here is ok, a lots of Italian cuisine. Hotel service is so helpful and nice. Wide, clean and peaceful beach, plenty of sunbeds available. I recommend it!

We have visited atleast 10 different resorts, the ones that are a bit more fancy than this place are so much more expensive, so if you are looking to spend between 60 to 100 usd per person and get a bungalow with privet beach and all inclusive pakage this is the place to go, good food mostly from local items, one of the best beaches we saw compare to other resorts, it's just wonderful experience to chill and relax at this resort for few days, they have different programs daily. Big thanks to the manager, Mr. Filippo Martini for being so cool, 👌.

This is fantastic place! Location is good. Beach is very nice and they always cleaning it. Of course some seaweed exist but not a problem. Nice place for swimming. Only need to keep in mind about tides. Better to download program on the cellphone for checking. Rooms also good and cleaning thoroughly. If compare with some other places you will find not everything in the room but most important things are there. WiFi and safe box for payment. This hotel is very safe! And all personal very kind. Territory is beautiful, swimming pool is good and enough place on the beach for everybody. Towels always can change. Food is very tasty and fresh. Many thanks to chief cook! Hospitality here on the best level and if you have any problem personal and manager will assist you. Was great please to stay there. Important only that 96% of guests are Italians and everything there on Italian language but all personal speaks English well and you can ask. And altitude is normal no any problems. And very special was animation!!! This the best team. Many thanks to Bravo club for what they doing. That was amazing and always interesting. We travel with my wife a lot and after this place we got unbelievable memories and emotions.

We have spent great moments în VOI Kiwengwa Resort. The garden looks gorgeous, the fine sandy beach is amazing and the pool is just what you need for a wonderful day.

The place got me so caught up, simply fell in love, not from first sight though😃first day I was like those who make fuss about the rooms being basic and the wifi missing in spots

The management of Voi Kiwenwa masters the magic that Africa is😊
The gardens have more species than the spice farms we visited
And soo nice of the gardeners to never get tired of being nice and offer to cut for you a coconut from the palm to drink in the morning
The all-inclussive succceeds in being on the gourmet side very often and I know this is very much of effort
Love those big fish at meals
Hotels seldom offer such quality fish even at pricey places
I even liked the fact that there are many masai peolple on the beach
This is culture brought to us
They talk to you and are nice even if you do not buy things
And I absolutely loved the fact the place is full of Italians
They make every place look classy
Wish they ruled the world and spread Dolce vita all over😊
There are so many people working to make it all special, sorry I cannot praise all of them

Very clean and safe place to recommend on the Eastern coast of Zanzibar. Decent cuisine, friendly people and management of the hotel caring about tourist's satisfaction. Pure Italian hospitality in its best meaning! Do not look for another place - this one will make you hakuna matata :) 5stars!
