The best hotel while in Zanzibar. The rooms are amazing, the views, the accommodations, but more than that is the service. They will do everything to help you out to make your stay the best. My airline lost my luggage, they help me out with everything. Thanks again for everything you did for us.

Paradise on earth! We've been thinking of what you can do better, but couldn't find anything. This is just such a nice place. Everything is so tidy and you feel so at ease from the very beginning due to the super lovely stuff. The pool is just great with an amazing view. The rooms have everything you need and waking up with a sunrise is great. The best thing of this place is the food though. Breakfast and a la carte dinner was the best of our 3 weeks in Africa. On top of that you get free activities (e.g. Yoga, Salsa) and they arrange for you great trips. Highly recommend to everyone, esp. for a honey moon. We will definetly come back.

Zanziblue totally surpassed my expectations! I was hosted there for a few days and it was great! The first surprise was when the manager spoke Portuguese, it was unexpected but amazing, it made it feel much more personal and close to home! The food was also great, the chef designed menu is great and left us wanting to try everything. It did a good job of using the amazing local products and giving some of them a twist. All the fish dishes were amazing, the tuna tataki, the ceviche and the tuna tartar were among my favorite. The staff was very attentive and always ready to help, they would interact very closely with us. I also took a snorkeling trip to mnemba island organized by the hotel that was totally worth to do with them. Mnemba island's reef is always very crowded but since the guide took us farther away from the boats to a zone of the reef that had no one. Overall a great experience, will go back there in the future!

I have booked an hotel in Zanzibar and when I arrived I didn't feel comfortable. I called Zanziblue explaining that I was solo traveller, wishing to change an hotel. When I arrived to the hotel I met the kindliest people on the earth. Hotel staff was really taking care of each and every detail. They were always helping when I needed help or question. The pool area was like a piece of paradise with palm trees. The hotel is on the beach and you can have very nice ocean view and enjoy walking for kilometers on the whitesand beach. The food is delicious. They are also helping and suggesting packages if you would like to do different activities on the island. Thank you Zanziblue for welcoming me so well!
The room was comfortable and clean with sustainable products inside. The balcony had an amazing ocean view.

Great hotel, well located, beautiful grounds. The food is a bit expensive but oh so delicious. The service is amazing !!!! Everybody is so incredibly nice. My boyfriend mentioned to the manager it was my birthday: they decorated our room with a ton of flower, balloons and a happy birthday sign, and then for dinner they organized a dinner on the beach with a private waiter, a cake, a song and amazing dreamy decorations! They made it my best birthday and we have memories for a lifetime.

Welcome to paradise! The most friendly and helpful staff. Nothing is too much for the 2 female managers. Excellent chef and breakfast with a view on the ocean. The villa's are placed on the domain in an excellent way. Nice pool. Perfect place to relax.

I rarely give reviews but this hidden gem, tucked on a Zanzibar beach, has it all: 5-star comfort, local feel, personalised experience, world-class restaurant, and the list goes on.

The 4-villa compound is designed to fit naturally in its surroundings, with the guests’ privacy in mind. With its thatched roofs, wooden decks, open-air hallways and beach facing terraces, you instantly plunge into a natural habitat that it's as close as you get to paradise. You are surrounded by coconut trees, lush shrubs, climbing bougainvillea, all home to exotic birds. Take a couple of steps and you are on a white sandy beach that stretches as far as the eye can see, by the turquoise water with unobstructed views of the ocean, far beyond the coral strip.

The rooms are spacious, with comfy beds, luxurious sheets, large en-suite bathrooms with high quality toiletries. Everything is picked carefully, to enhance the rustic feel of the place, from the bathroom furniture to handcrafted room lights and closets (which I’ve seen in local markets, so probably sourced locally). The rooms are spotless and cleaned every day, while you have breakfast. The living room even has a water fountain, so you never run out of fresh drinking water.

The resort has its own restaurant, that serves breakfast in the morning and a-la-carte the rest of the day. Breakfast is lovely, a mix of buffet items (with freshly baked sweet and savoury stuff and delicious local fruits), as well as a-la-carte. Lunches and dinners are a-la-carte and the menu is simply fabulous. We were a group of 8 of family and friends and, although we initially took a half-board package (accommodation plus dinner), we ended up eating all meals there (with the exception when we were away on trips). The Swedish chef created a mix of most-beloved world dishes, including amazing starters, seafood, grills, curries, vegetarian options and even “standard” dishes for picky eaters (hamburgers, pastas), all cooked to perfection. He even cooked a huge fish we caught on a trip, the way we wished (covered in salt, how else?? :), and he personally saw to it as it was brought to our table and was being filleted :). Not to mention the wine list which has a really good selection.

Services also exceeded our expectations. The staff is extremely helpful, prompt, always with a smile. Hazel at the guest relations is amazing, she knows everybody’s names and preferences, and she is always there to help. Osman is in charge of activities and he organised some unforgettable trips for us. He joined us in most of them and made sure everything went well, and adjusted the schedule to whatever we “fancied” that day. He even made sure everybody (and I mean “everybody”) had a good experience. I have a bit of a water phobia and thanks to Osman swimming by my side, I was able to snorkel above the most magical coral reef! Another highlight was the massage hut, which we used almost everyday. The massages are fantastic, equalling a 5-star spa!

The only thing to improve - we should have stayed longer… :)) Our 10-day stay there simply flew by!

An amazing experience. They were very accommodating even with our early arrival. Every staff was so friendly and went out of the way to help. I have eaten all over Zanzibar and the seafood here was some of the best. Both the raw and cooked.

Also a small thing- but it is so easy to get water. Other places I’ve stayed have not had water as convenient and water is a must

The pool is great, but it's not deep (around 1 meter I think)

We got free massage because we were on our honeymoon, it was great
You can rent bikes and kayaks and paddle boards for a very cheap price
You're far from everything so you will need tours or transfers
The Wifi worked okay for things like Facebook Instagram messaging, but if you need very fast wifi for working, I think it's better to contact them before and ask if the WiFi is that fast

Had the most amazing, relaxing and memorable 6 nights. From the staff to the owners on site, everyone was amazing and made our experience unforgettable. It truly is a place to unwind and take in the quiet nights and warm ocean air. Dinners at the restaurant were incredible, presentation was spectacular. There’s no need to go anywhere else for food or drinks. Will be staying again in the near future. :)

Great resort! The private island made our entire stay amazing! It is incredibly clean and well kept! The staff are kind and helpful. The perfect getaway and we will come back!

Exceptional hotel with the best and most warm welcoming staff, lovely owners and amazingly beautiful garden! We have spent an unforgettable 11 days here, in this totally relaxing environment. Every room's interior design is super nice, and has a view to the ocean with a big balcony. The pool was just great tremperature. Loved the lot of coconut palms, the extra soft sand. Try the massage also, you won't regret. The food in the restaurant was super delicious, and the restaurant's interior design was also figured out detail by detail. The breakfast is also incredibly tasty.
The staff is very helpful also, if you have a problem anything is solved, they are really paying attention to you.
All in all, I can totally recommend this hotel and the restaurant, you won't regret if you come here. And don't forget to catch the sunrise, because it's beautiful.

it is wonderful! The rooms, the service, the food - everything is just perfect! If you want to rent a whole villa for two families, then you even have more privat space. The management can arrange all that for you. For couples you can stay on ground floor with direct access to the pool or upstairs with your own balcony. The beach outside might not be the perfect one but that is what you get on this side of the island. The hotel has more then one car and they are happy to drive you to one of the other beaches. Takes you fist 30 minutes.

Home away from home. Hazel was so amazing,very helpful with literally any, including the tiniest inconvenience,she made everything so easy during our stay. The food was up to par, Excellent cooking, Exceptional cuisines, machelin three star, worth a special journey. Not forgetting the complimentary massage given to us by Hazel because of the renovation noise.

The rooms are a few meters away from a quiet, clean and beautiful white beach. You feel like you're the only person there, that's how serene Zanziblue is. The staff was incredible, nothing was too much to ask. The food was incredible - we probably tasted everything on the menu. The French toast breakfast with poached fruit and ice cream was yum. Don't leave without trying the pumpkin cheesecake - probably the best cheesecake I've had in a long time. Also loved watching the tide receding in the morning and then rising again in the afternoon. Unpretentious accommodation with superb service and awesome food.

This is an amazing hotel, with amazing staff and an amazing restaurant! The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and accommodate my dietary restrictions (gluten free and vegetarian). The chef himself made sure to check on me and that I have enough to eat and asked if he should cook me something extra. The pool area is very relaxing and they provide you with everything you need (towels, beach shoes etc). They have a spa area and they also provide organised tours. All in all we had an amazing time at Zanziblue and can't wait to be back.

Great hotel, very good service and an amazing restaurant! We have really enjoyed our stay here, I can not imagine how it could be any better! The services at the place and the tours they offer are just excellent! Picture perfect!

One of the best hotel I have ever stayed. Affordable price compared to other 4-star hotels. The room I booked (Queen Room of 33㎡) is a bit small, but it's tidy and nicely decorated. I really love the Jacuzzi right outside the room. With only a few steps I can see the softest white beach and the perfectly clear blue ocean. Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful with genuine smiles all the time. The food in its restaurant is surprisingly good. I do recommend it and I felt truly regretted that we only had one dinner there😂.
I really fall in love with Zanziblue and will definitely come back again.

Tota relaxation. We rented a whole villa as two families. The service and food are first class and the accommodation is perfect, everyone can go at there own pace, beach, breakfast, bar, massage all a few footsteps away. The excursions all arranged perfectly and amazing, you have to swim with dolphins. Will be back.
