The guides were so polite. I liked how they kept the place clean. The water was nice, a little bit saltt and warm. Overall I had so much fun over there I would definitely advice you visit the place. They also sell food there so you can grab something when hungry

A must visit if in Moshi or Arusha as a day trip. Non- swimmers can get floaters to float around. There is a place to get refreshments and snacks. You pay a small entrance fee.Clear turquoise waters, not exactly hot but not freezing. It’s about 15KM(of murram with some rough sections) from the tarmac so you need a raised vehicle to get there comfortably. Got there on a pretty low car but going back we got a puncture as it was pouring.

The long drive over a 'african massage' road is certainly worth it. The clean water and lush surroundings are very inviting for a dive. The fishes like to tickle your feet. So cool!

Must visit place in Moshi, Arusha. Crystal clear fresh water with stunning atmosphere. Its more than worth for the ticket. Its just 5000 tsh for citizen and residents, 7000 for east African and 10,000 for foreigners.
There is near 16 km off road ride to this place.

The road to Kikuletwa was so full of culture and beautiful views the springs was wholesome with a free fish pedicure inside the springs. I would be back anytime.

Very beautiful place, blue waters, warm and safe to swim in. The place is quite far from the tarmac road but worth the long drive.

Such a beautiful spot, loved the view of Mt Kilimanjaro and the hues at sunset. The spring is clean with the clear water and swings for everyone to enjoy a dive.

A nice natural spring where you can enjoy a relaxing swim..
There are two 'pools' with the upper being the friendliest to non expert swimmers- I found the water in the lower pool too strong and had to be assisted by my more experienced colleagues to navigate the water.

And yeah...it's pretty deep, in general, so wear a floater especially if you're not a good swimmer.

The fish that nimble away at your feet make the whole experience quite a nice feeling.

Concerning the charges, I found the fee fair considering what we pay when you want to enjoy the water in a hotel swimming pool.

There are some food kiosks outside the swimming area but don't expect mouthwatering meals- I don't think it's the best there's but you can take rice or a few snacks to keep you going as you wait to go back to town for a proper meal.

Otherwise, the staff is welcoming and quick to act in case you need something.

Oh and there are some daredevil divers who jump from high up some trees on the 'shores' to the water while pulling some crazy stunts... they're a joy to watch and even invite you to try if you are courageous enough

A few things I didn't like now...

1..The road that branches to the place is very dusty during the sunny season- I'm not sure if its okay during muddy season because I was there when sunny- so they need to tarmac it as the springs could bring in more tourists.

2. There were some bhang-smoking idlers outside the food kiosks (outside the springs area) and the bhang smell was a turn off.

3. The toilets are not of high standards from the structure to the hygiene levels- I hope they'll be doing better ones in the future

Our trips in Chemka hot spring are advent ours. We normally go privately or in a joining group just request us on WhatsApp on +255784187648.
There are always stuff there to assist swimming equipments and it’s all fun. See our images on how our guest enjoyed.

I loved the scenery, the water was really clean, went on Thursday it wasn't congested. There are small places you can order meat and chips which it I did and it's alright. Overall it was fun.

Fantastic place to chill on a hot day. The water’s not hot, just warm so it’s refreshing, and there’s lots of shade. You need to swim as the water is deep or there seem to be inflatable tires to rent. Shops and bars are in the parking lot. It can get pretty crowded though.

If you are nearby Arusha or Moshi, visit Maji Moto and thank me later. Photos won’t do any justice, best place have been to in a long time.
The water in the spring is that perfectly clear, it’s actually deep,7/9m thereabout, get a local guide if you don’t know how to swim. Fish massage is a bonus.
Be ready for the earth road before the place, struggled with a low car

I wonder where those fish are coming from🤔😳.. 😁
If the water is after volcano 🌋
Or
Just underground water 😳🤔

Hidden gem in Tanzania, try and add it to any tour you go on. As it's so worth it. The pace is a mini paradise, the fish give you a great free clean and the locals will guide you and if you need, support you superbly. Try the swing as well!

Small but very nice & family friendly place. The road there is quite rough. Entry fee is 10k TZS. Tuktuk back to Bomangombe cost us 25k TZS. You should definitely visit.
