The Secret Garden Hotel

Lucy and I stayed here in 2022 and honestly I must say, this place MADE our whole experience in Tanzania an unforgettable one.

Zack, Ruth and Nick looked after us so well! We felt like we were staying with family. We even changed an arranged booking that had us staying somewhere else a week later, just so that we could come back.

Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We’ll never forget chilling on the balcony, it was heaven.

Everything was perfect. The staff is extremely kind and always there for you. The manager is fully knowledgeable of the area and he organizes tours upon request. All very clean, shower water was hot and the location is beautiful. Food is very good and prices very reasonable. Highly recommended.

We had a very pleasant stay in secret garden hotel! I was with 3 friends to relax but also see the beautiful surroundings. The staff was very friendly and recommended us several day trips including the hot springs and a coffee tour. The warm shower and a tasty vegetarian dinner with a view on the Kilimanjaro were a good way to end the day full of activities!

A very lovely and calm place, perfectly located in a quiet neighbourhood with a nature view from the breakfast terrace (but only 25mins walk to the City Center)!

We enjoyed our stay in the triple room with delicious customised breakfast on the terrace each morning and appreciated the very supportive and friendly staff in every request we had.

Was a very nice place in close proximity to Moshi town. The views of Kilimanjaro are super, the food is great and very sweet, the staff is so so friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and the terrace is a good lace to chill on. They even have games you can play as you socialize

The best private room for the money paid. Hot shower, clean and comfy bed. The owner and his staff is so friendly, respectful and quite. The breakfast is the best and so filling. Best view of Kilimanjaro in town from the field accross the street. Just book it.

This is just a great place to be! Rooms are spacious and we could even take a bath, lovely! Everything was clean and they even have some toys for the kids.
Then there is that very nice terrace on the balcony. I regret not making any pictures.
Food is great, staff the nicest we met! They are great with kids. A very big recommendation from us for this excellent hotel!

Had an excellent stay at the Secret Garden. Service and security were great and it was a perfect place to stay before and after our climb of Mount Kilimanjaro. They were a little slow cooking dinner for our team of 12 but that is understandable (especially in Tanzania). I would highly recommend The Secret Garden if you are staying in Moshi!

I would go there again and can recommend the place to friends. The rooms and bath were basic but very clean. The terrace has a nice viewpoint the Kili. The food was top. We did have a good time with the service guys - they are funny.

Great place to stay especially if you're looking for a good price. Breakfast was amazing and staff was very welcoming. They also have a great view of Kilimanjaro.

My experience in The Secret Garden was amazing. The owner is amazingly nice, he is actually a Masai so he can easily give you advice on what to see and visit. Plus the bar&restaurant has great food and the best view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Totally recommend it.

Very nice place. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was fine! Quiet and peaceful in the night.

I really enjoyed my stay, the people were wonderful, beds were comfortable,my room was large, and there was a lovely view.

Lovely friendly staff, great location on the outskirts of Moshi. A 20min wall to the centre of town and a beautiful view of Kilimanjaro from the porch.
