Khulala Ocean Blue Bungalows

Really nice facilities including big swimming pool, cocktail bar, massage area and lots of sun beds to chill and enjoy the beach in which is probably the best location in Zanzibar.

Our room was very spacious including a big terrace with an unmatchable view to the paje beach.

The resort seems to be very safe with 24hour security both at the road and beach entrance. The swimming pool was also very clean and nice. There were also barely any mosquitos which was something that we were concerned about before the trip.

However, the best part was the service of the hotel which were very friendly, kind, patient and helpful. Angela, Alex, Kristina, Elisija, Baraka, Joachim, kitchen staff, security and cleaning ladies always very nice and greeting you with a smile which made us feel like at home.

Khulala is a great option for vacation. You have everything that you need in resort for enjoying but also, you have great access to the beach. If you walk by beach you can also find other resorts where you can also eat and chill. Besades that, stuff is really friendly and helpful. Every recommendation :)

I come for the third time to Khulala Ocean, in addition to the excellent location, staff and wonderful beach, the food is very tasty. They also have a swimming pool, pool bar, great cocktails and smoothies.

Were here for 10 days, ad have to say just the best things about this place. People are friendly and willing to help, rooms are exactly as described by the agency, food is good and the pool is super when it's low tide. Would recommend highly.

Been here for 10 days, last week. Had an amazing time. Hotel is great, love spending time in the pool, and drinking fresh juices from Baraka, next to the pool, amazing guy. Very beautiful location, unreal morning views, especially if you wake up for sunrise. Staff is very pleasant and easy going. I had amazing experience when they set up beach table with flowers and decorations so i could propose to my girlfriend, we loved it and she said yes. Thank you Khulala team. Best regards.

all recommendations, we spent 9 nights in this resort and if we could have stayed the whole year we would. The place is great for both passive and active vacations because everything is close. For hosts all best and I hope that we will see each other soon.

Kulala Is so beautiful. I just adore this place. Peaceful and quiet as its name says (Kulala in Swahili is to sleep) The stuff is great, helpful and always with smile on their faces. Special thanks to Baraka and Juve ❤ The food is great, delicious. Try tuna fillet and mandazi, my favorites. The beach is perfect, true paradise. But the most beautiful thing in Kulala is the sunrise. You have to see this, believe me. Hakuna Matata ❤❤❤

Spent 10 days here and it was such a wonderful experience. The staff is so nice and polite, always with a smile and in good mood. Very reliable and attentive staff. The hotel is located on the best beach on Zanzibar. From each room you can see the ocean and at night listen to sound of the ocean. The food in restaurant very delicious especially lobster. My friends told that it’s the best on Zanzibar.

This place is a total worth of the money! The food is delicious, whatever you choose. Staff is amazing - especially a guy named George.

Great place with friendly staff and peacefull, beautifull beach. The rooms are cozy and confortable, very clean. The restaurant has amazing food (especially fresh fish) though prices are about 20% higher than on the Paje beach. The pool is clean and great for small.children as well for adults. Whole place is completely safe, every night there is a Masai who whatches over the garden. I would recommend this place to everyone. Many greetings for all rafiki in the hotel!

Be careful and do not mix this hotel up with a smaller one which is not so far away. This one is also called Khulala.
Very nice and friendly people make your stay unforgettable. Comfy bungalows, clean and spacious. Very professional and ambitious manager.
The food is one of the best in Zanzibar, the young chef Emauel is incredible!
We enjoyed every minute and the hotel is highly recommended!

P.S. Be careful if you walk on the beach to or from Paje on your own. We were almost robbed in the middle of the day...

We’ve been there for 8 days. Had the most wonderful time. The room was clean and and very comfortable. Staff is very pleasant and friendly. Huge thanks to the Juvenary! He made the best experience while staying in the hotel. Very polite and always positive, asking us about our day and making sure everything is alright with the service and our overall experience. I really liked his approach and felt very comfortable and welcomed.

Amazing place. I was amazed with how staff is kind and approachable. Paje is on the south-east side of the island which is affected with tides. Having pool is definitely a good thing. Room was always clean and towels replaced. You have everything in Paje, exchange office, local market street, supermarket, kite-surfing schools, night club etc.
