I recently had the pleasure of staying at this resort, and it just exceeded all my expectations! The ambiance is truly remarkable, providing a serene escape from the bustling tourist areas. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness added a personal touch to the experience.
The place is tucked away from the main tourist spots and offers a beach with clear turquoise waters, what’s the most important thing for my family in choosing the resort to stay. The lush gardens enhance the beauty of the surroundings, creating a tranquil environment.

The restaurant is a culinary delight with the tastiest food accompanied by exceptional drinks. The entertainment shows added a delightful touch to our dining experience. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and I highly recommend this beachfront hotel for a perfect blend of luxury and natural beauty in Zanzibar. Prices are more than reasonable too! It started off really bad. The hotel driver was 1:30 hrs late for the pick up. So we wasted a morning of our vacation. The owner, later that day, came to meet us and offered us a free massage and refund for the transfer. That is what I call going above and beyond to make up for your mistakes. The location is amazing. The reef and ocean is breathtaking. The jetty is in great condition and lounge beds are very comfy. I’ll keep adding to the review over the next few days.. stay tuned

Blue Moon is an ideal destination for those looking for a calm and relaxing environment. The rooms are spacious and equipped with comfortable beds, and the private pool in the suite is a definite highlight.

The hotel's restaurant offers a beautiful ocean view, and the food is of great quality, as we experienced during our stay. We opted for full board and were pampered with impeccable service and attention to detail.

Although the beach is small and rocky, the large pool overlooking the ocean makes up for it. The hotel has added sand to the property, creating a "feet in sand" experience for guests. There are plenty of comfortable sun loungers available for those who prefer to relax. During our stay, the jetty bar was not built yet, but we're sure it will enhance the ocean experience for future guests.

Located on the east side of the island, Blue Moon is subject to strong tides, which makes it impossible to swim in the ocean during low tide. However, guests can walk to a small sandbank nearby. It's important to wear bathing shoes as there are sea urchins along the way.

The hotel's distance from other attractions provides a peaceful and quiet environment. No beach boys or Massai are trying to sell things. However, if you're looking for a lively atmosphere and entertainment, this may not be the right place for you.

We came to Blue Moon to spend the day for our day and we loved it, the service is perfect and quick, the pool at the jetty is super nice! The staff is welcoming and the hotel itself it’s clean and well maintained.

Wonderful hotel to stay in zanzibar, there is different swimming pools and a private jetty bridge on the beach. The people working here are very kind, thank you for making our stay amazing.

We had such a great stay at Blue Moon - our every need was taken care of. Our very own private pool with floating breakfast was definitely the highlight! It's very private and secluded. There's a lovely private boardwalk with various individual areas to relax - felt like we had it all to ourselves. Just a great place to fly and flop and be taken care of. Food was exquisite, easily the best on the island compared to the other resorts we tried for dinner. Can't wait to come back!

At Blue Moon Resort we had the best holiday of our life. The place is amazing, there is a big swimming pool on the beach where we had a delicious floating breakfast . An other pool at the top of the jetty right in the middle of the Indian Ocean, where you can order any kind of drinks. We had a romantic dinner at the beach with seafood menu at excellent price: very nice waiters put candles on the beach with the shape of heart and a frame of flowers on the top of our table. It was so romantic!
The staff is very professional and took care of us in everything we needed.
Food is delicious at very good price.
Service is impeccable, very attentive and fast.
Location is perfect for a quiet and romantic holiday and you can easily reach closest villages with only ten minutes taxi.
We definitely recommend Blue Moon Resort and will come back for sure.

Amazing location, I highly recommend it! You can swim everyday even though there is a tide, thanks to the jetty. The staff is atentive to your needs, rooms are large and very clean, the resort is secluded and zen with lots for palm trees & plants. Loved the ocean in front of the resort & the exterior space, pool is great! Even though they do not have the classic buffet, the breakfast food was good. For dinner options, the portions could be a bit bigger. They organize barbeque night - lots of food options- seafood was delicious- with live music which we really enjoyed!

Dreamy view, excellent food and the kindest and most helpful staff I have ever met! It is quite far from main attractions like Stone town, so would advise you have a viable mode of transport if opting for this hotel. But if you are considering a paradise-like resort getaway, with beautiful sights, beach access, pool, and beautiful and comfy rooms, I'd definitely recommend Blue Moon Resort!

Blue Moon Resort - Real paradise

We stayed at the Blu moon resort for 8 nights with our 1.5 years old little daughter. We had the chance to stay in the luxury pool suite which was simply amazing, more than expected. Very nice and cozy suite, with a private pool, loved by the three of us and luxurious big bed loved as well. All staff was very kind and present, always ready to be at your service. Food was really fantastic, chef is very talented and the quality is above the standards for the island. Even our daughter was able to eat almost every thing from the menu, including salad and raw veggies and no one of us got sick. The main pool is also beautiful, framed by the astonishing palm and wood roof creating a fantastic view with the blue sea on the background. It is possible to rent ski jets and quads for excursions and the position is very good to reach near point of interests as Jozani forest, Paje village and Zanzibar town.
Rate 10/10, we really hope to come back soon and thanks again to the owners for the beautiful experience.

Massage is the best there .. highly recommend to try and it’s for very affordable price !Food is delicious and menu has got big variety of options . Fresh coconuts and fresh juices every single day 😍
For yoga lovers there are private yoga classes for small extra cost .Have tried also jet ski and quad for rent , had a great time ! Highly recommend to visit !

The best hotel you can stay in Zanzibar!
I've been to many hotels on the island, but this is the one me and my wife like the most.
The suite with its own swimming pool is magic and the brand new deck out over the sea is unbelievable.
Last but not the least, great food at restaurant!!
Thanks for all your help guys in making our holiday so special, we'll be back for sure!

Everything was amazing, the staff is wonderful, the food is delicious, the rooms are big and clean. The perfect atmosphere for a relaxing holiday with a wonderful jetty that takes your breath away. The hotel offers many activities like excursions and watersports that I highly recommend. The best hotel in Zanzibar!

It was an extremely pleasant stay. The rooms, the restaurant, bar and beach are wonderful. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. They made the stay that much more pleasant.
I strongly recommend having a massage and trying the poke bowl and the jumbo prawns in the restaurant.

I can only give 5 stars to this hotel! Everything was truly amazing! The personnel were very very polite and friendly and make you feel at home. The view of the ocean is perfect. Amazing colours! Also the pool is no e and from there you see the ocean as well. Everything is extremely clean. The WiFi is the best. There is perfect coverage everywhere in the hotel. It is also nice for home office activities.
