If you are looking for a place to dive into nature. It’s truly an impenetrable national forest. Very virgin!!
You have an encounter one on one with the gorillas.
Prepare your hike boots, gloves rain jackets and any water proof just in case the forest blesses you with some showered .

Lovely place, best for Gorillas visit, groups are very small and you are coming close to Silverback and others. The guides are professional and polite, this is the best we have seen in Uganda.

This was the most challenging, but the most remarkable experience in my life. This forest is really Impenetrable. We had 8 hours gorilla 🦍 tracking with sliding into the wood and climbing again to find mountain gorillas. But when you find them, all the tiredness will disappear 🫠. You need to be in a good shape for this experience.

A simply awesome and will orchestrated Gorilla Trek led by a most leader and most attentive porters to help you traverse the steep, muddy slopes.

Hard to find the words - a spectacular experience. Guides, guards, porters could not have done more than they did. 5 to 7 meters away from a fully grown Silver Back Gorilla and his family.

What an incredible place, forest covered mountains plunging 1000's of feet to the valley floor. Wonderful bird life and of course one of the main habitats for the endangered mountain gorillas.

Definitely a tough hike, but worth it for the gorillas, more of a follow a guide with a machete hacking a path through the rainforest

Located in southwest Uganda, it offers an unbeatable experience with a variety of activities like gorilla trekking, nature walks by experienced tour guides. The place has very hospitable and friendly people. They also have different lodges offering accommodation and meals to the tourists.

We took the gorilla trek, it was excellent. We got so close to the gorillas and spent a whole hour with them. It is not cheap ($600), but cheaper than the same activity in Rwanda.

This is one of the best wildlife experiences you can have. Trekking to see the critically endangered Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat, taking in the beautiful sights of the forest is amazing. The morning starts cold but heats up quickly so don’t bring too many layers, you’ll prob end up wearing just a T shirt. Permit costs USD$600 per pax for a trek, much cheaper than the $1500 in Rwanda.

Trek with a guide to see families of gorillas, hire a porter, wear a face mask when you get near the gorillas.

What a challenging & rewarding experience!
You need to be fit, this is a hard 8hrs hike!
But the Gorilla encounter makes it worthwhile

Incredible place to see gorillas in the wild. The guide as well as the guards and trackers, were really professional. I was fortunate enough to get Benjamin as a guide, would highly recommend!

This is a great park. The Gorilla Trekking was phenomenal. The mountains are majestic. We basically been briefed at the park ranger's office and the park rangers are coordinating efforts with the Gorilla trackers which almost guarantees you or the group to witness the Gorillas in their natural Habitat. We stayed at Bwindi backpacker's lodge, the service, the food, the setting and the authenticity of every one around was very nice. Safety and the well being of their guests was number one and very apparent in the way they deliver the expwrience of this beautiful area. I am an outdoorsman and to me this is a trip of a life time. The Biwindi is a must on the bucket list.
