Ruhija Gorilla Friends Resort Campsite

We were brought here with our tour guide for 1 night before the gorilla trek. Wonderfully kind people run this place. Thank you to Sylvia and Fiona. Yes the facilities are basic but they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home. Everything is clean, they have WIFI and a lovely restaurant. Food was great - I had my first 'rolex' here and it was amazing. Beautiful views from the room balconies too.

Amazing place on top of a hill above 15000m, Ruhija is cold for some people but don't worry about that as their hospitality warms you up.

Not forgetting the hot shower in the right place as its a cold area.

Great people taking care of us. Would prepare packed lunch and give advice for gorilla tracking. Hot shower was so welcomed and the cold beer after even more. Can recommend to everyone. The village also safe to have a walk.

A really nice place to stay before gorillas trekking located in a little village. 20 min walking distance from the park office. Good food. Hot water in tha bathrooms at the request. We stayed in a room, but there are tests available there as well. We organise our trekking on our own (all the other groups were with tour operators) and Sylvia who works in the Resort was super helpful! She went with us to the Park Office and stayed with us to make sure that we are no issues. Sylvia helped us to organise a shared taxi the next day when we were movi g to the Lake B. We were very gratulacje to Sylvia for all her help. She is an amazing girl!

Good resting place in Bwindi forest park.

It's a quiet place with a great view and warm shower. The staff was also really sweet and helpful before and during my stay. Would definitely recommend staying here before the Gorilla Tracking.

Wij verbleven een jaar geleden met onze tent op deze plaats. En ik kijk er nog steeds met veel plezier naar terug. Het personeel en Clemensia hielpen ons bij het boeken van onze gorilla permits. En we werden zelfs persoonlijk te voet naar het begin van de trekking gebracht. Een mooie authentieke ervaring.

A very well situated camp site with excellent views for some. The ablutions were adequate and the water hot. Food was good, but a little on the expensive side.
