We had a wonderful time staying here. It was recommended by a dear friend and he did not disappoint! The staff and service were excellent and the food was really delicious! We did not have anything to complain about. They have a great mission in supporting the community in Lake Bunyonyi, no plastics and they provide filtered water all for free (yep you don’t need to buy bottled water!). The activities were informative and invigorating. Just a superb place to stay!

We had such a wonderful stay, that we kept extending it. We ended up staying for 5 nights.
It is so important to support the community and empower women. This is what this place is all about.
They took such good care of us. The views are spectacular. The staff are super friendly and Moses the chef cooks the best meals in Uganda. He is so gifted!

What a location, amazing spot in such a tranquil corner of Uganda. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place. Highlights were the popped crayfish & chips snack, friendly staff and swimming dock. One of the few lakes in Uganda you can swim so enjoy it. If you are self driving the road can get a little sketchy down to the dock in the rain, so get your 4wd training in.

This is a gem of a place. The team led by Silas are great and the location fabulous. Their ethos is embedded in the community and the environment. staying here will also do good. take the time to find out more from Silas. the restaurant had a fabulous view… and I can recommend the masala crayfish especially as we saw them being caught right below our right out there on the lake traditional hut. Communication was fantastic with advice on which car compound to use and general help and assistance. Do go there!!!

Super beautiful island, have never seen nothing like it. Saw a lot of birds, of which the crown crane bird. Very friendly staff, good food, amazing views and very pleasant boat trip that took us to the island.

Stay here!!!! You will not find a better place to stay in the Lake Bunyoni area. It’s a piece of paradise. It’s a community run, not for profit organization so all your money goes to a good cause. Silus the manager is doing a great job for the larger community. Assistant Managers Comfort and Tom are very good at their jobs and can organize anything you need. They have loads of tours that are ivery nteresting and benefit the wider community.

Bar and restaurant staff Isaac and Anisha are lovely and welcoming. The views from their bar/restaurant area are incredible. I have been in Uganda for 3 weeks and chef Moses has prepared the best food I have tasted in the country. Very talented chef! We stayed 5 days but you could stay there a lot longer. Highly recommended!!!!

This was a beautiful place to stay- we loved our eco nest with spectacular views over the lake - the bird sound in the morning was magical. We really appreciated the warm and friendly hospitality of Silas, Godwin and the rest of the team. We were sad to leave and hope one day to return.

An amazing location with great hospitality and amazing team, the nest rooms views are breathtaking.
We loved the food, especially the katogo breakfast meals.
If you get the chance, do the island tour and learn about the history of the islands of Lake Bunyoni!

Im writing another review because we stayed here twice, before and after going to Bwindi to see the gorillas.

Silas and his family have designed a little piece of paradise here on a small island in the middle of Lake Bunyonyi. From the very first moment we contacted them after booking we were made to feel at home. Communication about getting picked up on their small boat was excellent, the ride to the island was beautiful. We were looked after superbly during our stay, the food was delicious and the sunset views from the deck out onto the lake were stunning. We loved this place so much that we stayed before going to see the gorillas and then came back for another two nights. 10/10!

Great accommodation on an island in Lake Bunyonyi. Accommodation is the best place we stayed in Uganda. We stayed in a one of the private lodges that have ensuite bathrooms. Clean with hot shower and nice view of the lake, some comfortable chairs to enjoy the view. People are very friendly and reasonable. The shared restaurant is at a viewing platform with great view over the beautiful lake Bunyonyi. They catch lots of crayfish and recently they make some nice Louisiana crawfish in shell :). The trip to the island is at your own cost and can be self arranged or by the accommodation. Parking is at the mainland and safely guarded.

Absolutely serene and a beautiful place. Great staff who are happy to show you the area and the food is incredible. So much bird life around and canoe trip on the lake is a must, a good way to exercise and get some insight on life around these islands and the magnificent landscape surrounding the area.

The view is beautiful at every corner of the place.Sunrise, sunset, bird watching, milky way, a secluded swimming dock where we exercised in the morning, enjoyed the heat of the sun all afternoon and the freshness of the lake. It was so quiet and peaceful, we felt more than relaxed all along the day.
They have an on-site restaurant where you will make your belly jump of happiness. The food is like a firework in your mouth. So good and tasty!! The waters are full of crayfish so is the menu. Meat, veggie and fish dishes as well! We had everything we asked for and beyond. The breakfast was insane as well... I think the cook has magical hands.
Every single person on site (the staff and residents) were professional, friendly and caring.
Indoors and outdoors are really well maintained and super clean (big thumbs up for the landscaping as well).
Hot water works at any time of the day. Mosquito net looked brand new as well as the rest of the room.
All of this without breaking the bank!

Beautiful and peaceful place. Wonderful experience to wake up in an abundance of birds just in front of our 'nest'.

Would definitely recommend this place as it supports the local community.

We went to this beautiful ecolodge in June. The island itself is pretty small but its really nice to walk around, you'll see different beautiful viewpoints of the lake. The staff can organize canoes for exploring the lake and they can also catch you at the end of the road (25000 Shillings)
The food was awesome (banana-chocolate pancakes & Chapati-Omelett were just too good) and the staff is composed of young people inhabiting the island itself who were very friendly and welcoming.

We'll be back someday ;)

We had a wonderful stay at Paradise Eco-Hub. It's located in a small island on the lake. Pick up will be arranged by the hotel. We stayed in a "nest", which has no door and you can wake up with a view on the lake. They also offer rooms, which are clean but small. The common area is nice incl. Another nice view. The food is good (esp. the cray fish). You can rent a traditional kayak and explore the lake or do some other (rather pricy) tours. It's a NGO and a family run business which is constantly developing itself and helps to develop the local community. Highly recommend

This eco-lodge was absolute paradise!! It lived up to its name.
We stayed for 5 nights in a beautiful Nest-Cave right next to the water which was a rustic luxury.
The staff made our stay memorable. In particular, Goodwin (front of house) was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and made a genuine effort to make us extra comfortable. 10/10
The food was delicious and locally sourced. The activities on offer kept us well occupied. The laid back, slow nature of the island lends itself perfectly for a very relaxing getaway.
There are two other resorts and a small local community on Itambira for variety - all are within a short stroll/paddle.
Upon leaving we felt as though we were leaving behind new friends :) N + J
