Mad Anthony's Lakeview Ale House and Reception Hall

Really cool place. Stopped in on my way to Indianapolis. I did a flight of 6 beers: 3 IPAs, a winter ale, a lager and a stout. All of them were good with my really enjoying the winter ale. I will have to stop in the Spring or Summer and enjoy the view of the lake.

A great place to stop for lunch after visiting the wineries. This Mad Anthony's is very consistent with their other restaurants. The staff is very friendly and are able to make recommendations if you can't decide. The restrooms are very clean and maintained. Was very pleased with my experience.

O.M.G. No other words beside FANTASTIC! Craft beers, craft cocktails. Appetizers to dessert, PHENOMENAL. Cassey was a gracious host/server, knows the menu, GREAT recommendations. The WHOLE experience was awesome. Definitely worth the drive. OBVIOUSLY, planning a return visit.

Nothing fancy inside the restaurant but the beer is worth the visit! Highly recommend doing the flight to try all the options. Tried the cheddar ale pretzels as well and would highly recommend them as an app. The perch sandwich was delicious and comes with a large amount of fish. There’s not a ton going on in Angola so definitely one of the top places I’ve visited here.

Food was good. Service was excellent. The beer is very good. I'm not a local doing this review so keep in mind I have been to hundreds of breweries. Golden Crown is a very unique beer that is tremendous if you like coffee. Good Karma is a west coast IPA that has no faults. Put this beer on tap in any of the great west coast breweries and it would be right at home. Hats off to the brewer.

So great! We always love coming here. They are working hard to keep up with challenges and are so kind and accommodating. Yes their menu is abbreviated at the moment, but go to support a local business and their hardworking staff. A favorite spot for us to grab beers and an app!

Excellent service and great food! I eat keto, and I just asked for two side salads with my meal. They were very nice sized salads, and I had these with the brisket, which was very tasty. Looking forward to going back every time we visit our daughter at Trine!

Wow did this place surprise me. A true diamond in the rough. The food was amazing. Great flavors. Great beer. The pumpkin spicy beer for this month was a true delight. Scotch eggs were really really good, better than homemade. They could honestly be a meal all on their own. This is definitely bar food elevated. Seriously try this place if your in the area! Sooo worth it!

We've enjoyed several meals here as a family and with friends. Popular location in summer for gathering with friends and enjoying good food. Usually do not have to wait long and we were seated almost immediately on a Saturday afternoon that K-College football chose to eat here after football game with Trine U. Typical menu and my wife and brother enjoy the fish dinners and salads and it is family friendly. Thank you to a hard working staff.

Sat at the bar and enjoyed every beer I had. They were busy, but service was pretty snappy. Didn't have any food. Protip: a black and tan made with the English porter and the golden coffee ale is amazing.

Awesome place for beer and craft beer. They have great salads and I love the unwraps (basically a really thin crust pizza). We've never had a bad experience here, plus you can fill your growlers here!

Very nice brewery and restaurant. Great food and great service, people are nice and friendly. There are a good number of very different styles of beer on tap so you can just get a taste of everything. The burger with the egg on top was great and the carrot cake was also good.

The Mad brews were fantastic. We enjoyed the flight and there wasn't a bad one in the bunch. If I could have afforded it I would have bought a growler of each.

The menu was pretty amazing as well and I don't think anyone in my party ate anything bad.

Will definitely come back here next time we're in town.

Great beer selection. The Thai chili wings were some of the best I've had. Jambalaya pasta was really spicy and generally ok but I'll probably order something different next time. Maybe just a double order of the wings.

The Ale House isn't just bar food, it's great home cooking. Any of the smoked meats are amazing. I've never had a server with an attitude that was less than joyful. Great selection of beer, full bar, tasty food; what's not to love?

This place is awesome, we're driving I got across the US, and this place was pretty close off the turnpike to check it out.

Staff is nice, environment is great, and the food is delicious. Also, they have an awesome selection of great lagers and IPAs.

Wish I could say I could come back, but I probably won't be in Indiana again anytime soon, but if I pass by, I'll definitely stop in again!

Staff is always on top of their game, beer is excellent (and cold), love the Italian grinder and lettuce wraps.
Music kinda loud, but the outside porch area has views of the lake. Come by car, boat or bike. Fun!
