Golden West Cafe

I ordered a 1/3 lb pepper jack burger with bacon and French fries. I asked for it to be cooked medium well and it was cooked perfectly. It was juicy, but still cooked well and not too bloody. The fries were good firm and crunchy. I am giving it 5 stars because of the quality of the food and nich was just as good if not better than 5 guys which is somewhere I eat frequently and it was cheaper than five guys for what I got. One issue was the bathroom which had a dysfunctional soap dispenser. Hopefully they fix it, but I am willing to overlook it because the food was so unexpectedly good.

We drove out from Rexburg and spent the day at Craters of the Moon national monument. By 3 o’clock we had worked up an appetite and went for a late lunch. We googled a few restaurants in Arco and landed here. For a tiny little town, we were so impressed with this place! The food was great! Not greasy in the slightest. The service was also good. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered, and our son and his wife who currently live in Rexburg said they would for sure go back. The ranch was super yummy and the chicken strips? So good!!

Excellent dinner & friendly folks - if you have something to complain about after eating here you can go back to whatever dump city you came from

This is a real country ( all Americans) restaurant, where the people who make up this wonderful country we live in come and eat. I would highly recommend it if you're looking for a place to eat in Arco.

This place was great. Summers our waitress was friendly, attentive and did a great job. The food was large portions and was delicious.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area!

Amazing little hole in the wall place. Unassuming exterior leads to a clean, cozy, well kept and intimately small dining room. Real small town eatery vibes. Kids working were prompt, polite, and friendly enough. And to top it off, I'll be damned if these were not THE BEST fingersteaks I've ever had 🥴 Will absolutely be coming back everytime we come thru Arco.

Stopped in off the road to read the map, had my window rolled down and smelled something good cooking...noticed this cafe right next to us and being a foodie for mom and pop diners I decided to give it a try. I placed a to-go order for 2 french dips with f.f the lady who took my order was very friendly. Typically their french dips come with just the meat and bread dipped in Au Ju, however I added swiss cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms. They were delicious! The Au Ju was prefect. The f.f. were slightly crispy as they should be and the beef of the french dip was plentiful and lean. Very happy with our food and experience all around. A must stop on your travels.

Do yourself a favor and definitely order the roast beef with mashed potatoes. The former was cooked perfectly, and the latter were remarkably tasty. Unfortunately the restaurant is up for sale, but hopefully the new management will update it a little.

The best food I had in a long time! We got the chicken finger & fries dinner it came with so many sides & the scones were to die for . My salad was perfect & don't even get me started on their ranch! It's the absolute best! The chicken was so large & real chicken. We drove 45 mins home & our fries were still delicious. Check them out if your ever around. You will not be disappointed I already can't wait to go back.

We will definitely eat here again. Every thing was excellent. And the portions size was huge. Make sure you are hungry.

Family friendly, and I think the burgers are better than the rest of the places in Arco.

Been through Arco several times and never had a chance to stop. Well had to stop and decided to try it out. Food was phenomenal, the waitress was prompt and friendly. If you ever come through give it a try you won't be disappointed.

My folks love this restaurant and I enjoy dining with them here often. Our service was superb, the food is tasty, portions large, and dining room clean and tidy.

Had a wonderful dinner there with my wife. Healthy portions. You won’t be disappointed. PS, the scones are amazing!

This place is a gem. Good service, the beef burgers and grilled chicken burgers are delicious. They have the good kind of ranch dressing as well.

We placed a take out order as we were heading home from Mackay Reservoir, the staff was friendly, the order was completed quickly and we really enjoyed the patty melt. I love when restaurants have delicious ranch for dipping the fries in and this place had some of the best ranch which is definitely worth the 5 stars

Pleasant waitress who did a great job. She was the only server working this evening. Had the chicken fried steak - really good, and they batter it here. I will come here again. Good comfort food. Home made pie, too.

The hamburger steak was delicious. The French fries were HOT and also delicious.

Very good, simple food. We asked our outstanding waitress for a recommendation and had the roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes and salad. The roast is made daily and was delicious. The meal was served with something very like sopapillas which was a delightful surprise.

Always delicious when we eat here, their french dip is amazing, always plenty of food on your plate. Our server was also amazing and attentive! She made sure our drinks were full and that we had our food as soon as it hit the window.
