Beautiful park. Drove there to go hike the palm canyon trail, and I can say that the drive itself is worth it even if I had not done the hike. After the sun set, I was able to see the stars very clearly. It was a breathtaking moment as you cannot see a starry sky like this in most cities. This park forever holds a spot in my heart for the experience it gave me and the stars it showed me.

This desert park is so big and diverse with so many things to see and do. The visitor center near Borrego Springs is a must see and the rangers/volunteers there will give you suggestions and directions for whatever your interests.

Desert. Quiet during the week and crazy loud and busy on weekends!! BLM land with some shade and picnic tables. Pit toilets and dumpsters. I did not see in any water.

I love primitive camping and backpacking in Southern Anza-Borrego. Quiet serene, lots of big boulders and Ocotillos.
I used to say the desert was mostly a wasteland, but I've learned so much about life in the desert the past 7 years. From water sources to seeing humming birds and dragon flies. The plants, the animals and the history.
There's so much to experience.
Avoid Mid June - Mid Sept due to heat. Winter is never too cold.

Going to this State park for the first time because a friend recommended it. I was pleasantly surprised with all there is to do and see. If you're an outdoor individual then I highly recommend this experience. 👍

Went for my birthday weekend- absolutely incredible. Very hot during the day and throughout the evening. Temperatures drop significantly close to 10pm-11pm.

I thoroughly enjoy this, the largest state park in CA. The wild flowers are beautiful this winter. There is lots of great history to learn at the visitor centercand the park is designated as an International Night Sky destination. Many campers bring their off road vehicles in certain designated areas. A very nice park.

Amazing state park! We didn't even get to see everything but the parts we saw were so beautiful! Font's Point at sunset was so gorgeous but you definitely need 4 wheel drive to get there. The slot canyon hike was great. Visitor center was nice and the staff there were super helpful in helping us choose which hikes to do and how to get there. The Palm Canyon Oasis trail was absolutely gorgeous and 100% worth taking the time to hike. Can't wait to come back someday!

The recent large amount of winter rain brought rare bloom to the park. This is Henderson Canyon Road in the north part of the park. So amazing to have so much color in the desert. Absolutely gorgeous during sunset! The best part, no hiking needed to see the wildflowers!

I didn't expect so much!
We chose the Palm Canyon Oasis which was amazing. Chose the alternative path on the way back. Maybe it will be harder but it is worth it.
If you want to see a blooming desert go through Borrego Valley. We drove through Borrego Springs and saw incredible blooming.

We saw one of the most breathtaking views of wildflower blooms here! The visitor center is good with a lot of interesting information about the park and its wildlife. Must visit if you are intrigued by desert ecosystems.

It is a wonderful, scenic and very well maintained park. It is one of the best jewels in our park system. The rangers there are some of the best I have ever encountered.

Great backroads camping .the camps are good for showers only there are bathrooms on some back road camping trails. You can spend a month at the ANZO and still not even explore half of it .It's like 40 different deserts wrapped upon one incredibly awesome journey life long adventure especially if you are from the east coast

Incredible 4 days of trail driving and back country camping. Rangers and Park volunteers were exceptional and informative wherever we went. Favorite spots: Coyote Canyon, Coachwhip Canyon. Fonts Point, the Slot.

Watched the meteor shower in this lovely park. It is full of adventure, wildlife, desert plants, and historic locations. Camping is totally doable here as well as resort-living options. It is dog friendly only when the weather is not HOT.

Inland San Diego County offers so many natural hiking trails, from ocean-close to inland desert trails, I find each provided tranquility and beauty in its own natures. It’s my first time visiting Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Weather temp was ranged between 69F-76F high at end of October month. Daily park entrance fee is $9-$10 if you plan to hike inside most of maintained trails inside the State Park.
I chose a 3-mile roundtrip trail to Palm Valley. It’s a nice trail with gentle inclination, surrounded by beautiful natural desert habitats. Horn-sheep can be seen along the trail which makes the finishing hike very rewarding.
Wearing sun-protected clothing and hat, at least 2 bottles of water and a few energy supplement snacks for a 3-mile desert hike is recommended.

We loved our stay at Blair Valley. We got a beautiful campsite. It is a wonderful time of the year to visit. There is so much to see here. The desert is in full bloom this time of year. Will definitely return.

This is a wonderful place to explore for a day. We spent about two hours here, discovering the statues and enjoying the picturesque landscapes. It gets pretty hot here, but the desert is really nice. The roads are good, not if you want to see the statues close by though.

This state park has so much space that it's incredible. If you want privacy take your car a little off the beaten path and there is plenty of spots to camp and enjoy the night. The desert is magical, spend a night out here and experience it yourself.
