The office is impeccably clean, the staff is extremely friendly and skilled. Dr Groat was especially kind to give me short breaks during the procedure for my comfort. I was impressed with the technology used to scan images into the computer instead of the old mouth full of material that had to set up before it could be removed. It was a very easy and comfortable appointment.

Everyone is always extremely friendly and helpful. So refreshing to go into Dentist office and be treated so kindly! Any questions or concerns always addressed and answered. Highly recommend

Every staff member was helpful and friendly. From the dentist to the receptionist, and everyone in between was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I didn’t feel rushed by any of them and I had a thorough dental exam. Even the waiting room was welcoming. Best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist office!

We love our dentist Dr Groat. Our family used to see him in Fremont, then in San Ramon for many years. The we moved further away and had to find a different dentist. We went through several dentists , and No one has compared to Dr Groat. We moved again to Calaveras County and realized he had moved his practice up here. What luck for us. Of course we started seeing him again , and we are so happy to have him as our dentist. He has always been great. Staff is great also. Would highly recommend Dr Groat to anyone.

The staff at Dr Groat’s office is the best! I am not a fan of going to the dentist but they make the experience better than any dentist I have used before. Dr. Groat does an amazing job making sure you are as comfortable as possible and takes the time to explain things. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!

Dr Groat was kind enough to prescribe me Valium for my crown procedure. I’m unable to tolerate the “drill” without panicking 😱. The dental assistant was wonderful and compassionate. I recommend this dental office.

Calaveras Gold! I was in search of a new dentist and my much-beloved yoga teacher, Dana Oneto, recommended Dr. Groat. So happy she did! What a phenomenal practice! From the receptionist Krystal, dental assistant Ailene, to Dr. Groat and hygienist Cathy everyone was so personable, professional, authentic, and kind. The setting also spectacular. Each treatment room has a glass windowed wall that looks out on beautiful oak trees. I have never enjoyed a first visit more. Highest possible recommendation!

I have been dentist shopping for a long time since I moved to the Calaveras County. I have had horrible experiences in the past. My children have had traumatic experiences when we lived in Bakersfield. Dr. Groat and his staff are unbelievable. They are professional, sincere, and are the first to ever sit down with me and get a game plan for all my repairs and cosmetic choices that I may need and want. He actually took the time to plan my dentist appts and to inform me of what exactly needs to be done and the order of importance.
The ladies are just as awesome and they all work well with one another.
I almost don’t want to post this because I don’t want this place to start getting too busy. Both my children and I are happy with this dentist family. The ladies go beyond their duty in reminding us of all appts and keeping us cared for.

I no long drive and my dentist was an hour drive. Transportation was becoming a problem. My son said, "we are going to change to Dr Groat" I went for the first appointment, and he really checked me over. I have a couple of cavities. I've had the first one done and not dreading the next one. not a bad experience. Thank you Dr. Groat.

Dr Groat and his office professionals have all been great to me. All of my semi annual cleaning visits are very thorough. Always appreciate how Dr Groat is so good about preventive care so we avoid major dental work👍

Like many people I do not enjoy going to the dentist however I have never had a bad experience here. The front staff especially Crystal makes things so easy!

All the staff was incredibly welcoming. Had to switch to Dr. Groat as our previous dentist retired and we couldn’t be happier
