Teresa's Place

This is my #1 go to for Italian food. They've been open since 1921 and their delicious food and phenomenal wine is completely out of this world. I felt like I traveled back in time sitting at the best table, next to the woodburning fireplace. I will be coming back 100% when I crave authentic Italian.

Very cute place with lots of history. Original owner used to serve food to the miners who worked at the local mine. This restraunt is still family owned. It has a huge fireplace with lots of historical pieces of history on the walls. Family style dining done very well!!

A very friendly place with great food and excellent service. You are made to feel a member of the family here. The pesto is excellent as is the fried chicken which is crispy, juicy and obviously freshly made. Salad is simple but fresh and made with care. We will go out of our way to eat here, highly recommended.

Finally after a year of hearing about this wonderful place. Weve finally come to eat. The owner is absolutely adorable. The food is amazing and Now I understand what the rave is about!

We celebrated our 54th anniversary with a delicious dinner and wine. Loved the soft music and nostalgic surroundings. Always a favorite.

This is a quaint real Italian family style restaurant that’s out of the way And hidden on the back roads. The staff greets you like they’re happy to see you and welcome you to their house. They have a one page menu but it’s still difficult to choose which meal to have. They start off every meal with a minestrone soup followed by salad and then followed by the main course. I wouldn’t pass up the tiramisu for dessert.
The exterior is very deceiving thinking there may be room for five tables but there are several dining areas and a full bar. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area.

Great spot in foothills. Love the history, food and the staff was great. It was my friends birthday and she picked the spot. Would like to return for another special dinner. Hidden gem..

Teresa’s Place in Jackson, CA exceeded expectations!

We visited Jackson a few weeks ago solely to try Teresa’s Place at the suggestion of a friend. We checked into our hotel first so that we could drop our things and head to dinner at Teresa‘s Place. We scheduled an Uber and after 20 minutes realized an Uber was not going to come for us; so, we started to walk. We had a reservation for the restaurant at 6:30 and called ahead to let them know that we would be late because we were walking, not realizing that the walk would be much longer than we anticipated. We got a call back from Alicia saying she would pick us up and bring us to the restaurant. HUH??!! We were floored and a bit skeptical, but took her up on her offer because we were hungry and did not want to be late for our reservation. Alicia kept her word and picked us up to drove us to the restaurant, but not before taking a scenic route and giving us a little history of Jackson. We meandered up to the Tailing Wheels, where she told us about the history of the wheels and how she and her siblings used to play in the area as kids. We made it to the restaurant and she dropped us off in front so that we could make our way in while she parked. We were seated in what we would later to learn was Grandma Teresa’s former bedroom.

David, our server, was delightful and very attentive. We were very needy and he did not disappoint. Alicia stopped at our table to visit, give us a little more history, and introduce us to her sister, Teresa.

Our food was nothing short of outstanding. The fried ravioli was the best I’ve ever had. Our table of four also enjoyed chicken marsala, chicken parm, prime rib, fried chicken, and Tiramisu - all were DELICIOUS. 💕❤💕❤ 😋🤤

Our group of 12 women were blessed to have Debbie as our Server Extraordinaire. Nothing better than a classy, efficient, personable, patient, kind, smiling, and very pretty server who knows everything about her business & the amazing menu.

We went here for a 50 year wedding anniversary. Very beautiful setting in the banquet room. Loved how fast and efficient staff were during this event. Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Will visit again in the future.

It's our favorite restaurant in Amador County. Their minestrone soup is the best! The specials are great, and the standard menu is very good. It's Italian food in a neat, old atmosphere. The restaurant is closed Wednesday and Thursday, and they can handle large parties. Teresa's will also accommodate special diets. Want something gluten and dairy free? No problem.

Another birthday dinner! It's our favorite place to celebrate our birthdays! The staff is awesome! Food was great! The atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable. We ordered to much food as always but more than happy to take home the leftovers.

Haven't been here in ages. Took my wife of 10 years here for our anniversary. Theresa was our server. Thank you for making our day wonderful.

I took my wife here for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic. The staff was amazing. And the atmosphere is unlike any other restaurant i've ever been to. It is rich with the family's history that has owned that restaurant for a very long time. We will absolutely be returning here.

Wonderful food and history. Family owned for generations and everyone makes you feel at home. Like Nana's kitchen. Highly recommend a visit.

Went with a friend's group of 12 individuals. We had a personal server. Teresa's is not only a good restaurant, but it is an experience! (from their atmosphere the awesome food and there's lots of it.)

Great food. I heard about this place from a co worker. Was passing though and thought wed try it. Have to say we were not disappointed...if passing though again we will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone. David was your server and he was a delight.

This place is so much fun. I had moved away from the area many years ago, so hadn't been here in 34 or so years. Not much has changed. It still has the same fun atmosphere, good food, and friendly service. Getting your bread, soup, and salad before your entree is great. The minestrone is marvelous and the salad has lots of interesting components. We both had the chicken piccata and were happy with it. Neither of us had room for dessert.

An institution for generations! I have been going to Teresa’s for 20 years…as good today as it was the first time. A real family atmosphere….great food. The sisters are always so inviting and pleasant. I look forward to my next visit.
