We go to a lot of National Parks. We were thankful to the lady for telling us about the free lifetime pass for military vets.

Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Great place to stop before heading on the island or off the island to take in the beauty all of us locals are lucky to see every day! Great picnic and family reunion area as well!

It's always good to stop at the information centers for brochures and also get any pertinent information for the day you're there. We bought our park pass here and verified info we already had about trails.

I almost always stop here to either gather information for hiking areas, maps, etc., as well as stopping for a beautiful view as you head into Acadia National Park.

Very polite and informative service desk employees. They made our 3 night stay in the park the BEST!
We made shopping, dining and camping reservations based on their information.
Free maps, literature.
Highly recommended.

Nice place with good info but contrary to what the National Park site says you can NOT get a military or veteran pass here.

The lady at the desk was very nice. We had limited time at the park and she circled popular look outs for us to stop at to enjoy the views along the loop trail. Glad we stopped in here!

The bathrooms we fairly clean and the information building has plenty of vacation ideas. Right on Route 3 heading to Acadia or Bar Harbor.

Got a single vehicle pass (7 days of access for $30) here. The woman who helped me was very knowledgeable. She gave me a great rundown of the places to visit as well as all the documentation for the park. This is a great place to start your visit to Acadia.

Great place to go if you have taken an impromptu trip to Mount Desert Island and are looking for a hotel. They can help find you a room. You can buy park passes here for Acadia National Park. They also have loads of information, brochures and maps. Great place for first time and experienced visitors. Due to Covid, only so many people can be in the building at a time and restrooms are closed. Masks must be worn at all times over the mouth and nose in order to receive service.

The staff took their time with everyone that had questions about the area. Plenty of brochures, maps ect. To help select what to do during your stay. What was great was they offered suggestions of things to do and see during the couple of rainy days we had. The car museum was a suggestion of theirs and did not disappoint.

Clean. Bathrooms. Abundant parking. Visitor center is large and pamphlets, magazines and brochures to help you with exploring. Its not known that you can find a small trail behind the visitor center. Not for disabled but not a hard walk. 3 minutes and there's an ocean view. Rated as 5 star in comparison to other Visitor Centers of Maine.

Ginny and Donna are wonderful resources for everything happening in the area! The two of them are fun! They couldn't believe I'd never had "lobstah" and wanted to fix me right up! Stop here for maps and ask the gals for tips!

Pretty sure this place is haunted. We went there at about 130 in the morning and after being there for like five minutes, we heard a car pull up behind us but when we turned around there was nothing there and the moon was bright enough that we would've been able to see a car there. After that we got out to walk around and we heard a man's voice although there was nobody there except us and the invisible car. And all of a sudden we felt really uncomfortable like something was watching us so we went back to the car and left.
