Big fireplaces. Our site on the outside of B-loop was private. Bathrooms were clean but only provided hand sanitizer instead of hand soap, like most National Park campgrounds. Ranger at the check-in station was very friendly and able to provide good hiking recommendations! Not too crowded on September weeknights after Labor Day. This side of Acadia is beautiful and much less crowded than the other side!

Wonderful campground, not too busy and nice and close to the coast. Clean facilities and efficient check in process. Would love a shower and the ability to purchase wood on-site but there’s loads of places nearby to get both.

Incredible experience! You can hear the ocean from the A Loop area, park rangers were welcoming and helpful, clean bathrooms, beautiful landscape, can’t say enough good things. I will be returning for years to come!

It's a campground. So no rooms. There are 4 separate loops. We were in the C loop for RV's and trailer campers. Quiet time from 10 pm to 6 pm. Really quite. Flush toilets, no showers. It was a great way to camp at Acadia Natioanl park.

Beautiful campsite. From Loop B campsites you can hear the ocean at night. The rangers keep the campgrounds immaculate and the bathrooms clean. There are no showers. But a spot for a hot shower a mile from the entrance.

Great campground that is not as crowded as Blackwoods. Close to all the attractions the quiet side has to offer and a quick and beautiful 30 minute drive to Bar Harbor! Great for RVs. Limited cell service.

Perfect location, you can hear the ocean from your site (site B03 is large and very secluded from road neighbors), there is plenty of privacy between sites, the fireplaces are nice and the campground is very quiet.

Great experience, we stayed before the high season (week before Memorial Day) and most of the places were empty. Our campsite was clean, quiet, close to the shore and the only neighbor we had were deers crossing the forest close to our tent.

Quiet and beautiful! The group site was huge with 3 fire pits. We only had 2 tents but coukd have had 10 easily! The sites for RVs were small but nice and private. Can't wait to do it again!

Great campground near the iconic Bass Harbor lighthouse. The stars at night were magical and all the rangers we spoke to were super friendly and helpful. A great camp spot!

This campground is a gem. Lots of space between sites. Very quiet and only a short walk to the ocean.

The bathrooms are clean, fit pits are good size and many of the sites are level. The trees are a good cover from rain, but sun still is plentiful if you are using solar to charge any batteries.

This campground was extremely quiet in early October and the rangers zip around in their little cart fairly frequently. We slept really well here and other campers were pretty chill over all. It is on the opposite side of the island from most of the major attractions of the park but I think that this is a feature not a bug.

Only thing that would have made it better would be showers, but we loved the campground!! Spacious tent sites with plenty of woods in between lots of shade and privacy! We were there in July of 2022 at sight 3 on A loop. Right across the street from a park volunteer from Missouri, what a wonderful man! Very nice to talk too!

Loved this campground! Very well maintained and clean. We stayed in the D loop and it was quiet and the ocean could be heard at night. Some of these reviews are a little harsh. The bathrooms were some of the nicest I’ve encountered at a campsite. They don’t provide hand soap, but if you pack your own there shouldn’t be an issue. While camping you are lucky to have a bathroom facility with lights and running water, and this checks all of those boxes.

After talking to people that stayed in the campsite more central to the park we were very pleased we decided to stay in Seawall. It was so quiet and the sites are very private (at least in the A loop). You can hear the ocean all night long. It is a 30-45 minute drive to anywhere in the main part of the park but honestly the hike we did on the west side of the park was amazing!

Quiet campground. It is just a few minutes' walk to get to the sea. We watched Harbor Seals each morning and picked wild blueberries that grew plentifully inside the campground.

Love this campground! Very beautiful and quiet. We stayed in loop C and it was a short walk to the seawall. The bathrooms are nice and at night you can see billions of stars. I would definitely stay here again. Be sure to make your reservations early.

Wow!!! We spent 8 nights at site A38 and couldn’t have had a better time. The A loop is where it’s at if you want peace, quiet and privacy. It’s a short walk to the picnic area and water, which is so nice. There’s a stop for the Island Explorer for those who need transportation. Rangers were very helpful despite the hectic Fourth of July week.

Minor complaint: no showers is fine, but why don’t the bathrooms have soap or a way to dry your hands? Hand sanitizer only—not a replacement for actual soap! More puzzling still— the nearby picnic area has a very nice bathroom with soap and paper towels. So if you’re paying to camp, no soap; if you’re just using the picnic area, soap. 🤔

I’d go back here in a heartbeat and highly recommend!!

Firstly you’ll be greeted by the park rangers who do a terrific job explaining what they need from you and where to go and are happy to answer questions. The facilities at the campsites are SUPER clean. Our campsite was very clean and well kept. Overall this was one of the best campsites I’ve been to. Thanks for the great visit.
