This place has some of the most delicious pies you'll ever taste. Great yesteryear feel here, and friendly people. It's worth a stop!

Personally, this was my favorite diner from all route 66. Its vibe is unique and takes you in the past with a sweet nostalgia. Just because of its location you must visit it. Inside you can admire many, many vintage objects. I highly recommend to order a bottle of Coke with a smooth and creamy Peanut Butter Chocolate pie, it’s heaven on Earth. Also the souvenir shop is really nice and maybe you can buy something.

We stopped both ways while on a recent Western road trip. We had lunch on the westbound leg. My BLT and chips was great, and my wife enjoyed her chicken salad sandwich with potato salad. Service was great and reasonably fast, considering a caravan of Airstreams arrived just ahead of us. On the eastbound leg, we had some of their amazing pie.

I had Tennessee Whiskey Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie and it was awesome (and yes… I licked the plate)!! My wife had the BLT and loved it! The service was quick and beyond friendly. The atmosphere in the restaurant was everything we hoped it would be when we decided to stop.

All this is enough to warrant a 5-star rating…but there is more. While checking out, I left my credit card at the counter but didn’t discover that for a couple hundred miles further east. We reached out to Brenda Hammit (owner) and she bent over backwards to assure me they had it and returned it very, very quickly.

Establishments like Midpoint Cafe show every day they deserve our business…check them out if you are anywhere near Adrian, TX…you won’t regret it!

This little cafe has some of the best pie. The meals are good but the highlight is the pie. It is a small cafe where family works the tables. We try to stop here anytime we drive near Amarillo. On this trip I tried the chili apple pie....yeah, you read it right. It was an apple by but the backside of the flavor had a little bite. It was a good combination but not sure I would order it again. My wife had the Elvis. Peanut butter and banana pie. It is one of our favorites.

Oh man...was this ever a great experience! We loved it!
Stopped just for a cup of coffee and some pictures but once I saw they had Coconut Cream Pie we had to split a piece....BEST CCP I have ever had...coffee was excellent too!
Thank you for a really cool experience.

Family friendly restaurant. The ladies are so friendly and accommodating. They welcomed us with their warmth smile and had a fun conversation with the owner/chef and their staff. There was a long wait to get our orders taken and serving our food because they are short staff just like any other small businesses but their souvenir shop and historic photo ops made us busy while waiting. Their menu is so simple and food was made with love! I had the best time dining here and they deserve more business! Do not hesitate to drop by in this diner even if you are only going to use their bathroom, check out their souvenir shop or take pictures, they love having people over. But of course they need your business too! So enjoy your meal here! I heard their pie is good and its homemade. It was soldout when we were there but will definitely come back on my way home after my road trip.

Great location and even greater people! The burgers were huge and tasty! The ambiance is a whole vibe! I would recommend a stop ten out of ten times! After you eat, spend some time outside for photo ops!

Great place to stop along the highway during your Route 66 trip! More than just a kitschy 66 destination, Midpoint serves up one of the bigger double cheeseburger I’ve had, and the Black Bean burger was a welcome option for my vegetarian wife. Both were fantastic and reasonably priced! They don’t serve French fries, likely because there’s no deep frier, but offer a variety of bagged chips as a viable substitute. Catering to the few locals and travelers that stop by, the server was polite and caring, making sure we had everything we needed despite them being understaffed that day, like lots of other places these days. There’s a gift shop inside and plenty of photo ops outside, including a half way marker of Route 66 on the street and a sign. You definitely want to make this a stop on your historic trip down 66, or if you’re just hungry, because you’re sure to be satisfied.

Called like that because it is at the midpoint of route 66 between Los Angeles and Chicago, this is a classic retro diner, where you get real burgers, prepared after you order... and wait for your food like any other food restaurant. Classic in its atmosphere and setting, this is great place to stop and have a bite while on the road.

Best double cheeseburger ever! I stopped for the “pies” because I’ve heard how wonderful and tasty they are. (And pick up Route 66 souvenirs) just from seeing what other diners ordered you can see all the food is good! I literally was made to feel that my burger was created and made personally for me! Thick, juicy beef, the perfect bun and beef that tasted like actual beef, not filler or dry/over cooked. Prepared/served by wonderful people welcoming and making you feel at home! Nice ambiance, plenty of items in the gift shop and a good place to take a break from the road!

Went here in 2009 during a two week journey with my best friend right after we graduated high school. A fantastic trip and getting to this halfway point was made even better by finding this cute little diner with fantastic diner food.

UPDATE - I returned in 2022 and it is pretty much the same! Very busy, great atmosphere. I ordered a double patty - that was a mistake. It was HUGE! Usually when you can order single, double, or triple patties that is an indicator they have thin patties. No. These are FULL burger patties. Two was gigantic! But it WAS very good!

I stopped in to buy a souvenir and was greeted by an awesome waitress who showed me around the restaurant and described all the nostalgia of the restaurant and surrounding area outside. She loved her job and her employer. The owner of the cafe also talked to me and is trying her hardest to stay open so I recommend this awesome place. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a wonderful establishment and a must stop along Route 66 for good food, service and history !!! The food is cooked fresh and the pies are just delightful. There is a small gift shop with a variety of Route66 memorabilia to choose from.
I cannot say enough good things about the food and the two wonderful ladies that work so very hard to make your experience a great one !!!

Lovely people who welcome you as soon as you walk through the door. Cafe was clean and had some really interesting things to look at, like an old dukebox. We opted for the mid-point burger - wow, it is enormous. Outside is the route 66 mid-point line, so lots of photo opportunities. Definitely recommend this cafe for a bite to eat or just a drink. There is also a gift shop attached which had lots to look at and purchase. You are under no pressure to enter the gift shop.

They had 1 waitress and 1 cook, and we had excellent service. The cook brought our food to our table. And talked with us for a while. Cook and waitress were both very nice. I'd recommend this place to everyone alive.

Get your kicks on Route 66! Stopped here for pie, a photo op and souvenirs, and enjoyed all three! Staff was super friendly and the decor takes you right back to the ice cream parlors of the 50's. Gift shop was nice, and I enjoyed our visit and the green chile apple pie with ice cream! We took some peach cobbler to-go and it was a hit. And while we didn't get to try it ourselves. I have it on good authority that the Elvis pie is one of the best pies around!

This little cafe and gift shop is located on old route 66 at its midpoint. If you're looking for burgers as big as your head and wonderful homemade pies, cinnamon rolls, some route 66 memorabilia, and an old fashioned jukebox this is your place. Full of old fashioned diner charm this place is a great pitstop on your route 66 journey. The burgers are a little high-priced but definitely worth it. I even got to see something that I thought didn't exist anymore a telephone booth with a phone in it. Somebody be sure to tell Superman!

We caught the tail end of the lunch crowd and we had great service there. The burgers are HUGE, Tasty, and in my opinion, worth the money. Not only is this a great little cafe to stop at, it is in a neat location, in the middle of Route 66. We recommend this place, in fact we drove up from Clovis, NM just to go here.

The nicest people you could ever hope to meet serves us the best fried bologna sandwich I've ever had. Maybe the best sandwich I've ever had! The pie was amazing too. We weren't even expecting to eat. We had gone in for the gift shop, which was very nice and very reasonably priced. The people here made this one of our favorite stops on Route 66!
