Eagle Lake Campground & RV Park Entrance

Stayed Jun 6 - 8. Got a great spot above the Eagle lake to pitch our tent. We were the only ones for the first night then got neighbors the next day. Fish were jumping during the evening. Folks were catching some good size trout. Did pay $118 for 2 vehicles, 4 people for 2 nights and for 2 adults and 1 child to fish for one day. It does sound a lot but it is worth it. There are port-a-poties that are well taken care of. Bring water. We had about 10 gallons that was good for 2 days for washing. There are wild horses, deer, and turkeys. Yes there are bears. We didnt see any. But, we kept our camp site clean of food. They will tell you how important that is. This is a great get away in the Ruidoso Mountains.

The most perfect place I've ever seen stars at. We're talking about thousands of stars with naked eye. Zero to little light pollution due to a natural bowl shape of the mountains. Wife got altitude sickness so we had to leave early. Approximately 8000' up so be prepared for that. Beautiful area to camp, a little pricy as others have said but goes to a good cause, Native Americans.

This was my family's first camping trip and I have to say this place is so clean and awesome. Plenty of camp sites and the lake is walking distance and fishing is GREAT HERE!! Lots of wildlife and hiking trails as well. My family and I caught about 21 rainbow trout about 16+ inches in length. I definitely found my go to place from here on out for camping. Thank you guys for the memories can wait to make more here!!!

This place is a gem. Secluded lots of primitive camping spots and up the road is an rv park with amenities. Also a building with showers and restrooms. We seen so much wildlife. Elk, deer, turkeys. Loved it there cant wait to go back.
