Almo Outpost Steakhouse

This burger was HUGE! And the flavor was amazing. This was the double black and blue burger. I should have gotten a single. It was so much food. Good thing I did a really hard bike ride at City of Rocks that morning. Service was friendly and attentive. Casual atmosphere for a steakhouse, but worth coming back to visit. And that burger was an incredible value.

Went for early dinner. Had NY strip, fries, salad, veggies, dessert combo. Meat was cooked to perfection: juicy and well seasoned. Fries were seasoned and delicious, too. Service was very friendly. PS: The cut in the meat was from me checking if it was done correctly (and it definitely was).

I ate here last weekend. The steak was flavored well and cooked to perfection. The fries I got were very tasty! I definitely recommend giving it a try. I come through often and plan on stopping as much as possible.

I had a double bacon blue cheese burger. It was so tall I couldn't take normal bites. It was delicious

Ate here because it was this or the pizza place. Was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Ordered the rib eye mid-rare and it was perfect. The meat was very tender and well marbled - salt and pepper was the only seasoning fit for this delicious cut. The loaded baked potato was good as was the specialty dessert (forgot the name). The only downside was the broccoli was over-cooked old-school mid-western style but that's a forgivable minor faux pas especially given the excellence of the main attraction. Highly recommended.

Great place to eat if you're neat City of Rocks. The staff was excellent; friendly and accommodating with good suggestions. I wanted to try their dessert but was too full from the burger and tots so they packed it up for me and kept the ice cream separate.

Service,food and atmosphere was awesome, we had rib eye steaks that was cooked to perfection.
We will definitely make the 2hr drive and be back.

We were looking forward to this steakhouse for months after planning our trip. It did not disappoint. The ladies working - Krista and Holly - were so kind and friendly. We ordered NY strip, dutch oven potatoes, salad and homemade chocolate cake. It was amazing. Cooked to perfection! We loved it so much we went back again for cheeseburgers and steak sandwiches with the fries. Those were also incredible. Loved the atmosphere and food.

I got the double burger and totchos, both were fantastic. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Will gladly come back next time I visit.

Went spent the weekend at the Almo Inn with the highlight hoping to be the Saturday family dinner. And it was perfect. There were four adults and two kids. My wife loves lobster and the lobster was perfect. The staff was great and attentive. Everything was cooked and delivered efficiently and prompt. They place is a family owned place and the care was great . I had a business and my kids worked for me. It made them successful. It was nice to see this . And if given the chance make sure you get the pioneer pudding .... It topped off the meal perfectly.

I was very happy to hear that the Steakhouse is open again. When my husband and I visited a few weeks ago, we enjoyed the rib dinner and of course pioneer pudding..yummy!! The pudding alone is worth the drive, but the awesome customer service made it totally worth it! We'll be back, again and again! 😊

Stayed local and had dinner two nights. Had steaks both nights. They were cooked to perfection and were great portions at a very good price. The service was very friendly. One of my favorite stops.

I had their bacon Bleu burger. I just wished that I could have had the lettuce and pickles on it.

We had a great time! Service was great, food was delicious , and you have to have the pioneer pudding, it is to die for!
