This place is awesome! Amazingly good food and service! I had been told by many people to try Buddy’s and I can see why. Some of the best pizza ever! It was busy but not over crowded. The atmosphere was that of a classic pizza parlor with lots of history and good memories. It brought me back to the days of pizza parties after little league baseball games!

We went to this Buddy’s twice (one lunch, one dinner) on our 2023 Annual Detroit Pizza Tour. Both times were great!! Pizza was very tasty and Buddy Bread is always a hit!

Definitely less crowded at lunch, so go then, if trying to avoid crowds.

My family in the area went to the Warren location at 13 and Van Dyke and said that location is going a bit downhill, but the university location was wonderful.

If you go to buddy’s often, be sure to get the app to claim your rewards ($10 reward after spending $200).

Every time I visit Michigan I make it a point to go to this Buddy's Pizza. Pizza is delicious, salads are ginormous, and the service is always excellent. I've never had to wait to be seated. And when you're in Michigan, be sure to get a Vernor's float. Buddy's has delicious ice cream for their floats.

First time inside, was amazing. Food was wonderful, nice little lunch menu, house dressing is AMAAAAAAZING, bread is good, great ranch too! Deeeeefinitely take a chance and stop in, you won't be disappointed!

Pizza was amazing. The service was good. I've heard a lot of bad things about Buddy's going downhill since it was bought by whoever, but our experience here was still plenty good

Hands down the best pizza ever. Who cares about Chicago style deep dish or new York style pizza when you can have Detroit pizza? Crunchy crust and good quality toppings. The caramelized onions are sweet, the jalapenos are hot and the roasted garlic is the bomb.

A regular run of the mills pizza joint. Not so regular pizza. It was such better than regular. If you like pineapple on your pizza, try the Hawaiian. Probably one of the better Hawaiian pizzas I've had. The wings could have been a little bigger but that's the only complaint I have. The hot sauce they put on it was delicious.

Perfection. Michigan's best pizza. Flavorful sauce, golden cheesy crust. Our server was excellent and brought me 5 or 6 cokes too. Can't wait to take my family here when they visit.

Was in the area on business and had to try what they say is the "original" Detroit style pizza brand. It did not disappoint! The Caesar salad was also delicious.

It was our first time here. The food was excellent but especially the service. Joel N was our server and he was great. I would return for sure and I hope we get Joel again. Great food and Great service. That's all people want.

I was visiting friends in town (I'm from California) and they took me to lots of local eateries. The pizza here was great as was the service. The manager stopped by our table to chat and that added to the friendly atmosphere.

So yummy! Staff was awesome! Loved it!!!

I ordered for pick up at 8 pm got it at in 20 something minutes. Ordered Chicken Parm and Marg Pizza. The portions were amazing and thank you for the garlic bread! ❤

Went on a Friday around 4:30, place had a pretty good crowd going already. My wife and I were greeted and promptly seated. Our server Samantha arrived and took our drink orders. The Griffin Claw signature brew for Buddys the Bocce IPA was very good and drinkable not overly hopped. We ordered a Med Antipasto which we both had been craving and a Large Sicilian. The Antipasto arrived within 5 minutes, was ample in size and since we ordered dressing on the side included a nice carafe of their delicious dressing. The salad was great. The venue was starting to fill up. We were entertained by the Owosso Girls Swim Team who must have been there after a meet who were giving a lesson on how to refuel going thru several delish looking pizzas and pasta dishes. Even though it was starting to get crowded Samantha paced us just right and we never felt rushed. The Sicilian arrived just as we realized there was no way we were going to be able to finish the Antipasto. It was a thing to behold. I make my own pizza and have attempted to copy the Buddy's recipe several times but you just cant appreciate it like the genuine article. First impression after taking a bite was "fresh" ingredients. We did our best but by design we had leftovers which Samantha provided nice packaging for and an extra side of dressing. We enjoyed the Detroit centric decor, the atmosphere was lively and we thought everything was really good. Buddy's Detroit Pizza at it's finest!

Was told to check out the pizza. They didn't disappoint. Original flavors. Sauce, toppings and crust had a great balance! Enjoyed every much. Price is a little on the high side compared to competitors. Overall worth it.

My Dad and I are from the Carolinas visiting Detroit for a Red Wings game. While in town, we visited his College Roommate at Oakland University, and he took us here for Lunch! We wanted to try Detroit Style Deep Dish Pizza. The Food was so good and well made

The pizza is shockingly good for a chain. If you told me this was from a little mom and pop place I'd believe you. I'm gonna be craving this when I go back home. Highly recommend the Henry Ford.
