Mildred's Restaurant

Stopped by this place while traveling. The staff was exceptionally kind and very quick to help. The place provides a buffet meal for about $14 a person. It is all you can eat. This place was a great taste of southern food and hospitality. Fried chicken, pork ribs, green beans, mashed potatoes and lots of tasty cobbler and oh my goodness the bread rolls were some of the best I have ever had. A great place to sit down and have a good meal while you're traveling and needing to eat quickly.

We saw Mildred’s on the way to Nashville and it looked like a really popular place, so we stopped here on our way back.

We didn’t have any idea what this place was or was going to be. We missed where it said buffet on the sign…

We got it, saw it was a buffet and were seated pretty quickly even though they were pretty packed.

Granny our server and she was great!

The decor of the place was pretty cool and cozy despite it being a larger place.

I had some fried chicken, chicken Alfredo pasta, hamburger pasta, hush puppies and some other sides. It was all really good with the chicken being the standout. The hush puppies were really good too. My wife had some fish, hush puppies and salad and liked it all too.

We had some peach cobbler with ice cream for dessert and it was great.

Can’t beat the food and it was only $10.45 per person plus $1.99 for drinks.

Highly recommend stopping by if anywhere nearby!

Absolutely 💯 recommend. We accidently stopped by for lunch. Good food, good people, clean, big parking, easy in, easy out. Food solid, nicely prepared, few choices but cooked right,( chicken and chicken liver for meat only), light on salt, light on breading, not greasy, salad bar fresh. Buffet style. Prices low. They need help, if someone is looking for job. Highly recommended for county solid food.

Would given 10 stars if I could. It’s rare these days to find FRESH country buffet. The place was packed we were seated in about 10 minutes. The buffet had fresh fried chicken, best catfish ever, mash potatoes that were seasoned well and really good Mac and cheese plus many out meats and veggies. The buffet was clean none of the food was crusted. I’m not a fan of buffets just because you never know how long something has been sitting there Nothing going to sit long at Mildred’s because the tables are moving. Nice staff. Very very reasonable price 13.99 for dinner. Ice cream several choices of desserts and a very nice salad bar. The sweet tea was sweet. It was a great experience for our family. The drive out to south side of Ardmore is well worth it

Came here 2yrs ago. Just ordered Togo. Came today for lunch buffet. Wonderful, when we arrived the health inspector was there. I do suggest do better on the salmon croquettes and desserts as well as the cornbread. No shade just suggestions. Excellent staff. Great customer service. Thanks

Amazing as always. Food was fresh and extremely tasty. Servers were attentive and on top of drink orders and refills. It's definitely worth the drive we make (1 hour+) to eat here.

We were on our way home from Nashville and really wanted a salad bar. I found Mildred's on Google Maps and we thought we'd try it for lunch on a Saturday. The food was great, the buffet was fully stocked, and the staff was super friendly. We'll definitely keep this restaurant on our travel itenary for future trips!

Great place to eat. I had excellent service never ran out of drink. Food was very good nice dessert selection. Good place to carry family. Reasonably priced food.

Hot, delicious down home cooking! If you are looking for a mass produced buffet, then you have come to the wrong place. Everything is made fresh and taste great! I have been coming to Mildred’s since I was a little girl. I remember the buffet out of everything else as a child even though they have a full menu as well. This restaurant still has the same great taste many years later! Today, I got the to-go buffet plate with catfish, chicken, green beans, cornbread along with macaroni and cheese. This to-go box that is enough to feed two people was only $7.49. You cannot go anywhere else and receive this amount of fresh homemade food for this price. They weigh and charge the to-go buffet boxes by the pound to price which is very reasonable. If you haven’t been to Mildred’s, you are missing out! Friendly employees and a good environment with customers with smiling faces. See you next time Mildred’s!

The food was freshly cooked. The corn was so fresh, it tasted freshly cut off the cob. I have rarely eaten anything from Mildred's that did not taste like it could have come from Grandmother's kitchen and the tea was fresh and cold. I had fried chicken, fresh creamed corn, turnip greens, cornbread, fried fish, shrimp, clam strips, and peach cobbler with soft serve ice cream. OH MY!! 2 dinners, and he ate more than I did, was just shy of $ 30 total. If you are craving some down home country cooking, Mildred's is the place to go!! The good is great as is the service, and atmosphere. Not to mention being affordable!!

I've lived here for 5 years and I've been there many times but it was the best food I've ate in Alabama everything was fresh they kept bringing out hot food it was awesome on Friday nights they have fish shrimp fried chicken the most awesome macaroni and cheese collards greens I would highly recommend it

One of my favorite places to eat. Totally relaxed "atmosphere", terrific food, great service. The entire staff works hard to keep the food stocked, and the place clean. I highly recommend it in good conscience!

We got there at peak dinner time so it took a few minutes to get a table. The food was good and plentiful. My picky eater kids were happy too.

Food was excellent and a very nice surprise. We travel to Ardmore, TN fairly regular to get Lottery Tickets but had never eaten there. That will change as we will be back, great atmosphere too and reasonably priced. Many a trip now and delicious as ever. 😋

Whenever we travel 65 South through Alabama from Nashville, Mildred is always our first stop. The food never diminishes in flavor, freshness, quality, and quantity! The service is also warm and friendly. Mildred, we love y'all!

This is my go to best buffet! Worth the drive everytime! It's always clean, buffet is constantly kept full, & service is always A+++++! Do yourself a favor & visit! My family will keep going back💯

Delicious every time and the staff is amazing! They were so busy on Thanksgiving that we waited for an hour & a half for a table. There's not a single other restaurant I'd do that at. They are THAT good!

Today Mildred’s was packed more than I’ve ever seen it but we were still in and out in reasonable time with the best service, as usual! We are from out of town but make it a point to always stop by Mildred’s when traveling. You cannot beat the price you pay for such delicious, home-cooked variety, friendly staff, clean and orderly restaurant! You also may love eating an ice-cream cone while sitting on the front porch in a hand-made rocker to finish off the classic Southern experience!

Great southern style food. Great service. Friendly atmosphere. Clean restaurant. Good selection of food on the buffet. Good prices too.

OMG THIS PLACE IS DELICIOUS 😋 Don't be scared off by the place being crowded. Their staff will get you seated before you know it and there are wonderful rocking chairs to sit in while you wait. All you can eat buffet of yummy country cooking and a small salad bar to the side. We will return as many times as we are able. It's affordable too. Two adults during the week lunch ran us $24 on Sunday it was $28. Don't dirty up the kitchen, go to Mildred's. You won't leave hungry.
