Afton Mountain Inn

We loved our stay here. The house has been meticulously renovated. All of the furnishings are fresh and new while still maintaining the character of the house. The rooms have everything you need for a wonderful stay, including the most comfortable bed ever. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee bar and the game room immensely. The trails and outdoor areas are spectacular! We can't wait to visit during the summer to use the pool!! It is also close to all of the fun things that Nelson County has to offer.

My husband and I recently stayed here at the Afton Mountain Inn. I believe we were the only guest staying the night…it was quiet and peaceful. The house is so beautiful…I love the architecture and it is so nicely decorated. Our suite was roomy and inviting. It had an interesting feature in the bathroom 🛁 which I would love to have in my own bathroom. The toilet with a view…that is genius. Our suite had a tub and it was relaxing being able to come soak after a celebratory birthday dinner out. The big/soft robes that are provided for guests were so comfy.
It was nice to see that drinks and snacks are available in the common area downstairs…that is so thoughtful. Everything is so clean and nicely organized. We had a keurig ☕ and a mini fridge in our suite along with wine 🍷 glasses and an opener. The sheets on our bed smelled so fresh and felt of very high quality…and the pillows were just how I like them, I slept like a baby💙 I appreciated how clean everything looked and smelled! I will definitely plan on booking another stay here and maybe next time I will get to go see the creek and walk the path since I didn’t get to do it this visit.

I recently stayed at Afton Mountain Inn and had the most glorious time! The place was spotless (I am always picky about cleanliness)! The bed was incredibly comfortable, with the most fluffy pillows. I love that they offer filtered water in the common area! The coffee was delicious and the shampoo, conditioner and lotion were really nice and high quality! There is a lovely trail in the backyard that leads to a creek that was super fun to discover. Overall, I was blown away by my stay and would gladly return my next trip to Virginia!

Our recent stay at Afton Mountain Inn was beyond my expectations. The new owner has an easy self check in process and the rooms are luxurious with the most comfortable beds and bedding. Espresso, bottled water, refrigerator, desk and large smart TV were in our room. The bathroom was to die for with the Cozy Earth towels, beautiful tile work, modern tub and shower with lovely brushed gold fixtures. Did I mention how clean everything was and the gorgeous grounds and fire pit? There is also a pool, jacuzzies and volley ball court soon to be opened which will put his place over the top! Highly recommend!
The room had plenty of space to freely move about and storage for all my belongings so it never felt cluttered. It was tastefully decorated preserving the historical architecture while adding a classy modern flare.

Hands down, Afton Mountain Inn was one of the best boutique hotels I have stayed in! Any premium or upgrade that you can think of, they have it. Spacious, comfortable, beautifully appointed rooms and even nicer common areas. I didn’t have much time to enjoy the town on this visit, but I am definitely planning to stay longer the next time to do so - maybe in the summer and enjoy all the gorgeous terraces and pool! I don’t have a single comment on how the property could be improved, or my stay made better. Bravo! to the folks who restored this property while keeping its original integrity and beauty intact.

I was thrilled to get the chance to catch up with a friend at Afton Mountain Inn Afton, VA. I was extra thrilled when I arrived and saw what a beautiful place we were staying at. The property is located conveniently near many wineries, breweries, restaurants, and other conveniences yet feels secluded and private.There is a pool, a couple of hot tubs, and a firepit to enjoy. The balconies overlook the the surrounding woods that host a nature trail, creek, and picnic tables. On the inside, the place is awesome! Beautifully decorated common rooms which were so comfortable and clean. Coffee and snacks and a gourmet kitchen and plenty of space to hang out were much appreciated. The room I had was lovely and had everything one might want. There was a large TV, espresso machine, refrigerator, and my own bathroom. Even the towels, robe, sheets, and pillows were luxurious. A top-notch place that I will definitely be talking about for awhile and one that I would like to stay at again. Thank you Afton Mountain Inn!

I was in Virginia this past week and had the opportunity to stay at the Afton Mountain Inn in Afton, Virginia. The Inn was beautifully and very tastefully decorated. The check in process was seamless. Afton Mountain Inn sits on Route 151 which is where so many of the great wineries are located. My room was perfect and had great personal amenities. I loved the common gathering space in the mornings for coffee and getting the day planned. There is also a great nature path that was fun to walk and led down to the stream that is behind the house. It was very relaxing to sit by the water and listen to the stream flow. If you are in the area - Afton Mountain Inn is the place to stay!

Th inn is so beautiful and the amenities are fantastic! The pool and hot tub are a must and there’s so much to see in the area like all the vineyards and hiking trails. The rooms and shared living spaces are perfect. They even had a really well stocked first aid kit in each room!

My husband and I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Afton Mountain Inn. The rooms are beautifully decorated and so clean! We especially enjoyed sitting around one of the outdoor fire pits enjoying the peace and quiet. Also the coffee was delicious! This place has so many amenities and we’d definitely visit again.

Magic place to stay. Beautiful scenery, great grounds, super rooms, clean and well appointed. Great gateway to the Blue Ridge parkway and mountain vistas ripe with fall foilage.

The house is absolutely beautiful and I really appreciated all the little extras in the room that made us so happy and comfortable. It was almost midnight when we arrived and we were so tired after our long, rainy drive but all that washed away the minute we stepped into the inn. Before unpacking a thing I grabbed a bottled water from the mini fridge in the room and sat in the extra comfy chair in the room and felt great! The bed was also one of the most comfortable I've slept in and had an amazing night's sleep. I had a tour scheduled at UVA in the morning and woke up way earlier just to enjoy hanging around the beautiful house and walk around the property. I also appreciated how close it is to Charlottesville so it wasn't a trek to enjoy both towns. I really loved my stay here and can't wait to go back!

Great time as my wife and I were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. Enjoyed the pool immensely as it was very hot out during our stay. Very clean and organized. You can tell that the owners took the time for the little personal touches. We look forward to staying here again and exploring the region even more.

This is a gorgeous place with lovely amenities. Close to all the vineyards and even had an EV charging station for our unexpectedly electric rental car! We will be back when next in the area.

The hosts were especially helpful and supportive responding immediately when needed. The home is beautifully thought out and is just what you need to get away from it all. The extras special items like fluffy robes and eye mask exceeded my expectations. The area is breathtaking with so many places to explore, whether you are interested in hiking, biking or want to visit the local breweries and wineries there are many great options.

Wow! So much more than expected--they thought of everything! The rooms were luxurious and we could have stayed on the grounds and never gone anywhere else! What a wonderful getaway! LOVED the walking trail, swings and of course ESPRESSO in room!

We stayed at Afton Mnt Inn for my dad's 60th birthday and had the best time! The new management (Bestillgetaways) and renovations are amazing. The rooms were super nice-- they had an espresso machine and the beds were very comfy. Plus there is so much outdoor space, we spent a lot of time on the front porch and made a fire at the pit in the back.

Overall very luxurious, nice stay. Would book again!

We've been coming to Crozet and Charlottesville for years. This was truly one of the best stays we've ever had. Beautiful rooms, charming aesthetic, impressive amenities, and the perfect location.

WOW!! Just wow!! My husband and I just got home and we miss our room at Afton Mountain Inn already. The attention to detail and all of the sweet treats did not go unnoticed. We will defiantly be back again for a longer stay!

We had the most relaxing stay. The room was sooooo comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and the house amazing. It was a most wonderful trip.
