Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare

Quite often they're understaffed,
But it took me a long time to let my disease grow; much longer than the wait I had to wait there. The wait was worth it. They hooked me up with everybody I needed to see!!

I started going to starting point about 3 years ago for my depression and anxiety. I was a literal mess. I can still remember my first appointment with my doctor crying because I wasn't the person that I once was. Depression had taken so much from me at that point I felt like giving up but my doctor assured me that there was still hope in all that darkness and she was right. It's been a long journey but starting point has been by my side the whole way. I can't say enough good things about the people here. They actually care about you and will fight for you, especially when you don't have it in you to fight for yourself. I can honestly say I probably wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for them. Thank you starting point for never giving up.

The intake process was a little daunting but we survived. My son has been in and out treatment here for several years. Unfortunately he will be returning again and was not interested in going anywhere else. Emmanuel is very clear and takes time to explain his medication and how they will impact him in a way that he understands. As a parent I highly recommend Starting Point. I love when the doctor speaks directly to my son in a way that he can understand.

I had nothing but great treatment at Starting Point. I actually think the treatment became even better after COVID with Telehealth. But I always had great care, and people who really wanted to help and not judge. They understood that wanting to seek treatment is half the battle. They understood how important their actions are, and that a bad experience could cause someone to relapse. When I had one issue with a staff member, the head of the department called me right away to apologize. A lot of places do not respect their patients with addiction disorders, but this place does.

They are awesome...they are overworked/overwhelmed.

This isn't one of the greatest exp

I was kinda startled when I was suggested to seek some therapy due to dealing with family members daily with severe and multi diagnosis problems. It's nothing wrong with getting therapy and getting your self in the right mindset. To me it shows strength to accept and receive help. What I need is a vacation with me, myself and I to regroup and reenergize to keep moving forward.
