McFarland Clinic Dermatology - West Ames

I had melanoma and they helped take care of my issues at the time. They also had me come back for a regular checkups. After a couple years they had trouble keeping enough staff and let many of their patients go including me. After 4 years I went back to see if they would start doing regular checkups with me again. I was disappointed to find out that I am now considered a new patient despite having gone to them multiple times in the past and I have to get a new referral from my family practitioner who provided the previous referral. Mind you the dermatology clinic already has this referral, they just want my family practitioner, without any new information, to give it to them again. But this is mostly irrelevant because after hearing this they told if I did it I would be put on a long waiting list because they're not accepting new clients at this time anyway.
