New owners but the same great locals spot. But all are welcome. Large menu and a full bar, there is something here for everyone.
My favorites are the Bacon Western Cheeseburger and their classic Reuben sandwich. Side salads are a step up from the basic with lots of yummy toppings.

We had a great time watching Alabama beat Texas A&M. Food was good. We got the loaded French fries, a BLT and the Club sandwich. Drinks were good- I had a White Russian cocktail and my husband had an Old Fashioned cocktail. The Pecan Pie with ice cream and whipped cream was YUM! They played GREAT music…Classic country!! Nostalgia! The people were so nice! We felt like family! We will definitely be back.

Local, friendly, and a nice place to eat. I thought it was quiet, lots of talking and laughing, but no “extra” noise. Felt like the place next door with better food. I had the hamburger and he had the western burger. OMG that western was huge! Even the pickle was good.

After 4 days of hiking around Yosemite we were ready for a burger and man are we glad we found this place. I got a cowboy burger and some clam chowder and both were delicious. The burger had more bacon in it than I ever had in a burger before and the clam chowder had a good amount of clams in it and cheese on top of it!

I found this place just by Google and the stars and other reviews. It was absolutely delicious. The people there are nice and friendly. If you are in Oakhurst area and want good food take a 5 min drive to Ahawenne . I posted pictures so ya'll can see for yourself how amazing it was. Lol

Amazing food! Don't think this is just a hole in the wall bar. There food is top notch! The staff were so nice and when we went they were having karaoke! I came from Indiana to visit and it has been the best food I've had while in California.

It's under new ownership. Family owned and operated. Smaller menu, but still a good selection. Servers nice and attentive. Be patient with them. They are still learning the menu themselves. Food is still good 👍🏻 😋

Ordered some biscuits and gravy for my girlfriend. They were pretty damn good. I've ate here before and never had a complaint. Great food, great service!

The Hitching post is amazing. The owner is a delight. I asked for a special salad and she made me the best buffalo chicken salad I've ever had. Burgers and sandwiches are excellent also. Delicious and large portions for the price. This place is definitely one of the locals secret. A must stop. You won't be disappointed. ♥♥♥♥

Good menu variety. Service was good. Biggest burger I've ever eaten. Had to use a knife to get started. Very tasty. Atmosphere was nice. Family friendly, but also a bar separated by a wall. Pool tables and darts available.

Stopped in here while passing through. Great local spot. Almost passed on this place because the times published were incorrect. Confirmed that they are open Sunday through Thursday from 10 AM - 10PM and 10 AM - 2 AM on Friday and Saturday.
We'll probably go back for Karaoke on Friday night.

Unique place that’s always been good, just changed owners and service and menu is a bit different but so far so good.

We live in Ahwahnee part time and always go to the hitching post when we are there! Great food, chill atmosphere!

This restaurant is such a cool place. The vibe is so welcoming!! The staff is incredibly friendly & soo are the locals! Plus the food is delicious! The onion rings & the Bloody Mary are 2 of my favorites! Thanks TerraJo for the great service and food!

Great food and very reasonably priced. Portions were large and service excellent. We ordered the patty melt with fries, turkey on hoagie with side salad which was huge, taco, and bacon cheeseburger

Very friendly!!! Customer service is awesome!!! My long island iced tea was on point and look at my salad beautiful isn't it I was yummy and made with love!!!!!! Had hot wings also and husband had a burger and it was aslo yummy!!!!

Fantastic food. I think the patty melt is the best in California. Their chili fries are also great. I have recommended this place to everyone I know.
