The Blue Bicycle A Bistro

Surprised and delighted. The understated exterior location gives way to a cozy casual fine dining date night atmosphere. Service was pleased to be there and to serve (rare) and the food was good, cooked right, with fresh ingredients. The Gnocchi with Mushroom appetizer was perfect. Good salads (Beet and Goat Chevre), and the Sable-Fish special was done right. Highly recommended for a date night, small business or small adult family gathering.

A hidden gem in Dawsonville, The Blue Bicycle - a bistro was delicious. The menu is accessed via a QR code on your phone as well as on a tablet that they provide. We originally stopped for lunch because they offered duck on the menu and my husband loves duck. He was very pleased with his meal. I had the curry chicken salad sandwich with french fries. I would have liked more curry in my salad but that's just my personal preference. The desserts were wonderful. I had an orange brandy creme brule (more orange, please) and my husband had the chocolate hazelnut mousse. The restaurant offers a full bar with special drink offerings, both with and without alcohol. Each table has a different set of salt and pepper shakers - ours were Legos. Lunchtime on a Thursday wasn't overly busy. Staff was very friendly. We look forward to returning again soon.

We dined here on vacation, a group of 5 women for a late lunch/early dinner. Camille served us and she was wonderful. The food was amazing, especially the bread. Even the burgers were out of this world. I highly recommend this hidden gem. … and we did think it was a little hard to find. It’s in what appears to be the backside of a strip mall at the very quiet end without much advertising outside. At first glance we weren’t sure it was open. Once you enter it’s a beautiful little bistro with high a high end menu and much more upscale looking than the outside is. We were pleasantly surprised. I would definitely eat here again and recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place with wonderful food and excellent service.

The absolute best restaurant in Dawsonville. The food and service is always outstanding. The chef adjusts the menu, so there are new things to try, along with favorites. If you love French cuisine, you have to eat at the Blue Bicycle. I have yet to have anything on the menu, that I did not love.
As for the menu, the blue cheese chips, chicken liver mouse and pimento cheese starters are not to be missed. The wild shrimp with grit cake is outstanding. The Steak fries are great too. I highly recommend eating here, enjoy.

My mother and I just ate at this 5 star restaurant yesterday. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was relaxing with good mood music in the background and most importantly the food was displayed with the most artistic touch!!! We loved everything! Exquisite dishes that taste amazing!
We will most definitely be going back and will be bringing more people to share this great experience.

This was my first visit and I brought a client here for lunch. What great find! The food was better than some of the fine dining places in Atlanta. Very quiet pleasant atmosphere too. The mushroom appetizer was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our late lunch/early dinner. Had the crab cakes appetizer as several reviews suggested. It is just one cake, but was very well seasoned, cooked, and sauces were yummy.
The special roast beef sandwich and quiche of the day and both were very tasty.
Also had the special drink, a pom lemon martini that was refreshing and expertly prepared with a sugar rim. The ladies at the table next to us order 2 after seeing mine!
We do not eat out often, are very picky when we do, and we will be back. Good job Blue Bicycle!

Update: went back for lunch April 2023 and everything was excellent. One in our group had the lamb sandwich and it was big enough to share. We all had clean plates and a smile on our faces when we left.

This restaurant is awesome! Their food is incredible, their drinks are absolutely incredible and the people are wonderful. This is our first time here and we’re absolutely coming back! Love this place!!

Fabulous culinary delight in a quaint setting! All fresh, delicious gourmet dinner at a reasonable price. The decor is lovely with hand-painted murals. Seating is nicely spaced so you are comfortable with plenty of dining space. Fabulous, friendly service! We drive from Atlanta to enjoy this treasure in Dawsonville!

Dined here for the second time and it's great. My husband & I like to sit at the bar to eat & drink. Gizelle (not sure if I'm spelling her name correctly) is so pleasant and provided really great service both times. And the food! OMG! It's soooo good. Last night I had the duck. I really like the atmosphere of this place too. It's definitely going to be on our regular rotation.

The portions are razonable but if you are hungry, you must to eat appetizers before that main plate and don’t forget the desserts and the hibiscus martini 🍸🍸

Best kept secret!!! Great staff, ambiance and amazing cuisine. We started with blue cheese chips, fried goat cheese mixed greens salad, chicken dish, quiche and finished with blueberry tart!!!

The food and service were great! We didn't have a reservation and they were full, but we sat at the bar and had a great meal. Next time, we'll make a reservation. 🙂

A great surprise and Dawsonville! A Hidden Gem in an industrial building but don't let that stop you.
The Gnocchi with wild mushrooms is the best I've ever had paired with their homemade bread and butter! The veal scallopini is also wonderful with the spätzle! My sister had Mountain trout and it was perfectly prepared. All vegetables are cooked perfectly. Been there three times and always look forward to going back!

Absolutely delicious! One of my favorite restaurants. Menu changes often and never disappoints. Family owned, longtime employees and great all around. Highly recommend!

Great fast service, great atmosphere, and overall a great experience. The crab cake was on point and tasted fresh, the burger was cooked perfectly and was AMAZING and the beef tips was the crown jewel of the dinner I highly reccomend it. Really nice place for dinner, lunch, whatever, and good local beers too. Glad we picked the blue bicycle out of the plethora of places nearby. Dont think, just go!

This bistro is a gem! The bar and menu offers unusual items that makes the dining experience special! The food is always prepared and presented expertly. The ambience is casual and comfortable, but elegant as well. Highly recommended!!

Food was good! Rice Kristy treats and lemonade drinks are my favorite! Staff is always nice and accommodating.
