Michael's Family Restaurant

We have made this a regular weekend breakfast stop! You get a wonderful feeling of family and community as soon as you walk through the doors that is lacking in chain restaurants. Service is friendly and fast, and the food is always cooked to specification and delicious! This place is cash only so make sure to hit the ATM prior to stopping in! Oh and the sausage gravy is excellent!

Second time here. Drove in from Belle River. Great food! Nice atmosphere. Super nice staff. The cash only takes me back to the good old days.

This was my first time trying this place. The wait staff was kind and incredibly personable. The prices were great and the food was even better. You've definitely got yourselves a return customer! Note: the list of pumpkin-flavored EVERYTHING was a pretty good incentive!

Michael's Family Restaurant is filled with LOVE, WARMTH & GREAT HOMEMADE YUMMINESS... Sandy & Art truly know how to WELCOME the regulars & WELCOME in the new. It's always a treat to see what yummy dessert is on the menu, as if you don't have room, you can always take home some for later.

Great breakfast. Live near by and grab carryout all the time. Very nice staff. Up north, small town feel to the place. Omelettes, pancakes, eggs are all made perfect everytime.

OMG! The absolute best spinach and Swiss omelet on the planet! I want to eat breakfast here everyday! Cash Only! God Bless!

Amazing little lunch and breakfast place. I dined with them once right before Christmas. And ended up walking out with a little gift bag they were handing out to customers. Definitely a comfortable atmosphere. And they kept my coffee fresh and full the whole time we dined. Loved it

Very nice little family restaurant some booths or you can eat at the bar! only open for breakfast and lunch 4 days week... worth the trip. This week they had caramel Apple dumplings, looked delicious! Would have stayed for my meal, but had 2 dogs so picked up a Burger for them and a sandwich for me and off we went. Nice to meet you Michael's. Food was delicious.

Excellent food in a friendly mom n pop atmosphere.

I had the three meat and cheese omelette. It was fantastic. Friend had the skillet.

Great portions. The bill came as soon as we were done.

In and out in about half an hour.

A local Gem, Going to Michael’s is an authentic experience that I would highly recommend. Melissa and Amber are Amazing hosts. The food is really good and well portioned. Every time I’m visiting Michigan i visit Michael’s for breakfast.

This is a tiny, family owned diner serving breakfast and lunch. Cash only and not a lot of seating, but really good food at great prices and super nice, friendly staff. They will also let you order off-menu, like adding a single pancake to your breakfast. It's not really a linger over several cups of coffee kind of place. At least when it's busy, there's a pretty quick turnaround of tables. Highly recommend!

Terrific family restaurant. Food is fresh and great. Always friendly service. Many choices on the menu. Have been dining here for over 15 years and they are always packed but worth the wait.

Cute little diner with very friendly service. Everybody knows everybody kind of place. I had a veggie omelet and cranberry french toast. Food was great.

First time in the area for business. Breakfast was delicious and the lunch menu looked great. Fresh, homemade ingredients. Corn beef hash was perfect. Service was very pleasant. Good people. I will definitely be going back when I am in town. CASH ONLY, but they do this to keep the prices down.

No matter where you go you will not find a cleaner restaurant with great home cooking served by a friendlier staff.

And, when it says home cooking that is exactly what they mean!! REAL potatoes peeled in house and cooked to perfection, all soups made from scratch NOT from a mix, pies and cakes made with authentic ingredients and baked right before your eyes and the turkey that they have on the third Thursday of every month is a whole turkey sliced and carved!
