Alto Vineyards

Beautiful winery with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. My friend and I enjoyed the wine flight and the wine slushies (the raspberry is amazing!)
We also split the spinach artichoke dip and the bruschetta. Both were well seasoned and served with a smile.
Be sure to say hi to the adorable cat and dog that roam the vineyard!

Great atmosphere, large selection of wine and beer and very clean. The food vendors that were there,were another great touch. We'll definitely be back!

Such a fun winery experience! So many spaces on property to enjoy your wine, including an upper balcony, patio, private pergolas and right near the pond. The wine itself was wonderful, too. Lots of options to meet all different wine preferences. Their dry reds and dry whites were our favorites.

We are here on a lovely autumn afternoon and enjoying the great wine and beautiful atmosphere. Our wine hostess today is one of the most hospitable ever. She made our visit especially pleasant!

By far one of my favorite vineyards in the area. Lots covered shaded areas to sit and enjoy yourself outdoors. Opportunity to visually see some of the grapes and awesome views on the upper deck patio. Extremely professional and well informed staffed. Highly award-winning wines available. Visited this location during COVID-19 and the staff and establishment was following local municipal and state guidelines to ensure the safety of consumers. Appropriate documentation upon entering requesting for patrons to follow safety guidelines and employees wore face masks. This location only had outdoor seating open. Call ahead for operating times and capacity update for seating/wait time expectations.

We had another wonderful time on the patio at Alto. Service and the scenery were great. Cassi was helpful and cheery as always, especially being a monday.

Such a charming, inviting winery! The Pina Colada wine slushy I had was wonderful. I purchased their peach wine which is one of their estate wines. I would definitely love to go back here.

We've only been to three of the wineries on the wine trail so far, but this is by far the nicest. Spacious and modern, but also cozy. The bartender we had was very knowledgeable about the wines. They also have cats who are actually friendly. A+

Great location and great atmosphere to get started on the wine trail. We sat outside in the gazebo and sipped wine while looking at the endless views. The semi-sweet whites and reds were the best.

All the wines I tried were very good. It was made more enjoyable by sitting outside on the patio overlooking the vineyard.

Well worth the drive especially for an event of which Betty and Desiree are the gracious hostesses. I have been coming here for almost 20 years and it is absolutely amazing the events (salsa dance, music, fashion show, benefits, concerts, yoga, etc) they now put on.
My dad's favorite wine was Heartland Red so I always grab him a bottle. Mine tends to the Rock Red but now that they have Sangria. Good Wisconsin cheese curds

Enjoyed the wine tasting. Good selection of the areas offerings. Did not try the food.

Bought a bottle and headed upstairs, where we relaxed and enjoyed the view.

We had a great time here for the Cinco de Mayo celebration. They had margaritas sangria slushes and they were amazing. The live entertainment was great as well. They accidentally misplaced our food order but the server came out and apologized and even offered us a free drink! Incredibly nice of her. We’d definitely come back!

The grounds are beautiful. We really enjoyed sitting on the upper deck with a glass of wine. The service was awesome. I really hope to come back at some point in the future.

The drive from murphysboro (Illinois) to alto pass and beyond helped us find unexpected roads and beautiful locations that I never knew existed. It was an absolutely gorgeous day we met some interesting people along the way and found some really good wine! Don't be in a hurry on this Trail there are lots of nooks and crannies just waiting to be discovered. Worth the drive any day.

If you want to go to a beautiful, spacious location. Then Alto Vineyards is where you want to bee!! They have a tasty wine selection, along with delicious food options. Live music on the weekends. Only the best entertainment in Southern Illinois!! Five stars all day!! 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

Wonderful wine! Great service and good conversation (it was a Tuesday, not like a busy weekend). The sangria were both absolutely delicious. My wife loves the black n blush.
