Goldenrod is a great and welcoming salon! The vibes are so relaxing and it doesn’t feel like you’re being rushed out of the chair for the stylist to get to their next client. Every step taken makes everything feel personal and curated to what you need.

Rachael has done a wonderful job at color matching my ends during root retouches and I loved how communicative she was about what she was doing with the color mix/what could be done to adjust it in the future if I wasn’t satisfied with it.

Avin did an amazing job with my hair!!! It was the best experience I’ve ever had getting a haircut. He listened to exactly what I wanted and helped me feel super comfortable. 6 months later and I am STILL in love with my hair and how it’s grown out!!! He is a wizard and I recommend him to everyone. Seeing him felt like the ultimate form of self care. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with him!!

My Hairdresser, Maelee, did an amazing job with color and styling my hair. She knew exactly how to enhance my natural curls and draw more definition while coloring it. She would show me in the mirror how to treat my hair and each step of what to do in a curly hair routine. It was such a pleasant and informative experience. I would recommend anyone wanting to color their hair and anyone with curls to go to her!

This is such a safe space to get your hair needs met. Maelee does a fantastic job on textured curly hair as well as the ability to give an amazing blow out if I feel like going for something more low maintenance! I have never left disappointed as I feel listened to and understood. I enjoy that I’m not pushed to buy products right then and there like other salons. I also don’t have the stress of trying to figure out what is considered an appropriate tip because they bill hourly and I know that I have their full attention for that time.

Amazing!! I got a haircut by Maelee and she completely transformed my curls. I hadnt gotten a haircut in about a year and she took them from looking rough to looking amazingggg! She is so sweet and walked me through every step. This was my best salon experience ever and I cannot recommend it enough!

Adriana is FANTASTIC! I’m a previous client of hers from when she worked at her former salon and I followed her to Goldenrod Parlor. She did a wonderful job as always and created exactly the masterpiece I was imagining 💜. She’s really great at listening to what I’m asking for and gives honest inputs as well. She always explains exactly what she’s going to do before she cuts and I find this to be really helpful and reassuring. This was my first bleach and tone by her (I’m not the type of person who regularly spends big $$$ getting her hair dyed) and I am THRILLED with the results. I had her create a beautiful silvery lavender color with toner, so it will last me a good while longer than with traditional “unconventional” colors.

Goldenrod Parlor itself is a clean and welcoming environment. It was a bit hard to find, located tucked away in a section of a strip mall, but that’s the only thing I could possibly complain about and once you know where it is the salon is easy to find. Each stylist charges by the hour for their services, with different stylists charging different rates based on a number of factors. I like this better than “a la carte” because the fee is a direct reflection of time and effort rather than a quick, easy haircut bringing in the same amount of money as a long and extensively complicated one. I can also appreciate that the salon is gratuity-free. This makes the prices for the services very transparent and also ensures that the stylists get paid predictably and aren’t at the whim of who’s feeling “tips-y” that day or not. Originally I found this concept odd but I think it keeps things was more fair.

All in all my experience here was excellent and I would HIGHLY recommend Goldenrod Parlor and Adriana for your next hair appointment 😊

Fantastic salon experience from start to finish. A+ hair professionals. Warm & welcoming environment with great amenities & music. Booking process & communication is clear; and I love that tipping is included in the hourly rate—which all stylists set for themselves—ensuring a living wage for all.

I came in very self conscious about my hair, frustrated and suffocated by how it made me feel.. the opposite of what you want from your hair, right?! Immediately, Sarah and Alexis made Goldenrod parlor feel like home; they were so welcoming and had the best energy! From consultation to end results, everything was 10/10. I left Goldenrod feeling FAB and EXCITED to show off, play, and LIVE in my new hair!!! Thank you, Alexis for bringing my hair back to life!!!

Goldenrod is a cozy, lovely place with incredible stylists and we're excited to be seeing Katie here! Their range is incredible -- not only are they awesome at my brightly colored hair, they're one of the only people in the world that my mom trusts for her blonde, lol. She actually makes 2.5 hours trips all the way up here just to see Katie!

Koral was the first stylist I’ve met to take an “inspo” pic & bring it to fruition, completely! She treated my 12yr old as a peer & asked for her input & made her feel heard. My daughter is on cloud 9 and feels so confident in her own skin, thanks in large part to Koral. We can’t wait to go back for her coloring expertise! 100% forever clients now! 💖

A bit late to the game here, but I got a haircut by Avin last year, and it was one of the most pleasant haircut experiences I've ever had! Avin was very engaged and interested in making this a good experience, and ensuring that I got the haircut I wanted. The haircut turned out great, and I also received advice and suggestions on how to best tame/style my hair. 10/10, would definitely recommend! LGBTQ+ friendly place!

Angelina is an exceptional stylist who exceeded all my expectations. Managing my long, thick, and full hair is no small feat, yet she did it with remarkable skill. I requested a natural, low-maintenance look with added dimension, and she delivered flawlessly—transforming my hair into something akin to movie star quality. I couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend her expertise.

I wanted to specifically write a review becuase I had the most amazing experience! My wonderful hairdresser Adriana went truly above and BEYOND the call to give me the BEST haircut of my life! I almost had to cancel due to severe transportation issues, but we worked that out no problem due to their dedication to the client! And when I was trying to explain in possibly unintelligible terms what I wanted done, she caught right on and gave me exactly what I wanted (more movement layers in fine, thick hair!). She was so helpful in giving me styling and care directions as I’m navigating a new hair texture and she was so kind and supportive during the entire process and with future endeavors! I really think that if you’re looking for a true connection (or just want to chill that’s an option too!!) this is the best place in town :)

Mariah was amazing and she is truly a master of her craft. She did a fantastic job with my balayage and cut and was incredible at listening to what I wanted and gave me a style/color that I can maintain as a busy mom. The salon is gorgeous, clean, and everyone was so kind. I can't wait to work with Mariah again.

Joanna is my stylist and I love love love her style. She is so talented and gave me a haircut that fits my face and style. The location of this place is great and the atmosphere is very welcoming and calm. If you need a hairstylist that will get you this is the place to be. Awesome salon!! Such a great place for any of your hair needs. The fact that their reading materials are queer zines and polyamory workbooks speaks for itself. I’m thrilled with my hair and highly recommend Avin or any of the talented folks here.
