Old European

Old European is sort of breakfast heaven for me. I've been eating there since law school 20+ years ago and it's pure bliss for me to sit down to a Dutch baby and coffee.

I love this place. Our go to breakfast place whenever we visit Spokane. Amazing Eggs Benedict, French Toast, Dutch Baby, fresh squeezed orange juice. Large Portions. (Split 2 items with my breakfast buddy so we could try something new, so the pictures here are each a half portion. Huckleberry stuffed french toast and original egges benedict.) Fast friendly service. Fits large parties or small.

We are never disappointed when we eat here but today we had front row seats to the orange juice machine which became the main event for our toddler. The staff made sure to involve him whenever they ran it and it definitely upgraded the experience for us.

It’s pricey but you get massive portions, and service is quite quick even though it was busy when we went. Our waiter, Ian, was very attentive and thoughtful. We brought our 20 month old and he was always checking in on us and making sure we had everything we need. They gage us an activity sheet with free crayons which we appreciated. When she dropped it, Ian picked it up and even asked us if she could have the floor crayon back before giving it to her. High attention to detail and high regard for the customers wants and needs. 10/10 would return.

The host/esses were very personable. Our server, Daniela, was kind and attentive. She visited with guests and answered many questions from the people in the booth next to ours patiently. She kept our water full. The restaurant was clean, bright and inviting with fresh miniature rose flowers on the table. Food was delicious! They have a full espresso bar.

The food was great, my family got breakfast and I had the classic Ruben, which was fantastic! We were sat by the door, and that's the only reason they didn't get 5 stars on the atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

They have amazing food and honestly one of the best restaurants I have ever been to! Ryan is one of the best servers, but everyone there has great customer service. I’ve only ever had one issue and the manager went above and beyond to make it right. I come here almost two times a week at this point and they have never not been wonderful!!!

First time here and I’m blown away by the quality of food. We ordered take out and it was quick and the staff were nice and helpful. As a vegetarian I found lots of options for me. I got the garden goulash and highly recommend it. Also, tried the Belgian waffles and cinnamon roll. Yummy and reasonably priced.

Really tasty food and if you get the big breakfast, there's enough food to share for two for 20 bucks!

Stopped here on a whim and so glad we did. Easily the best breakfast restaurant I’ve ever been to. The only place I have ever seen Dutch babies on the menu and the orange juice was freshly squeezed near where we were sitting. Throw in the fact our waiter was amazing and engaging and 5 stars simply aren’t enough.

Went here with a party of 17 for a surprise for our daughter's 25th Birthday. Jeff and his staff were simply amazing. I'm sorry we didn't get our waitresses name, but she was phenomenal. The food was perfection

Amazing food every time! Wide range of options- something for everyone. Menu includes breakfast and lunch style food. Classic breakfast items as well as euorpean/scandinavian recipes. My family is danish and we grew up eating aebleskiver, their recipe closely resembles how grandma made them! They do not take reservations on the weekend, and it can get busy but it is worth the wait!

Our first time here. Cappuccino was very tasty. My waffle was good, too. I added some blueberries there and unfortunately they weren’t fresh. A nice server brought me banana instead. The service was excellent.

Great place for great breakfast. If you can get in before they fill up and the lines are too long, they are one of the go-to spots for breakfast. Never a disappointment.

We saw it while we were here for a weekend we had breakfast on Sunday. Service was fantastic and food was simply delicious. The fresh squeezed orange juice is a must!
I had Chorizo Goulash without meat it was very good and I picked the crepe as my accompaniment it was the best I’ve had in years. This restaurant is going to be on top of our list whenever we’re in town.

Food was good! Ableskivers weren’t really seasoned and seemed very bland even with the sides. Atmosphere was solid but for the price of the food, still didn’t feel it was fully worth it.

Wonderful restaurant in Spokane, WA. Went here with my family and had a delicious breakfast. The Bacon, Tomato, Florentine Benedict was amazing. The waitstaff was very nice and attentive. We had a great time and I would highly recommend. No reservations on the weekends. There was about a half hour wait.

This restaurant was full to covid capacity today. We had to wait for about ten minutes for our table. The food here is excellent and the portions are huge. The prices are a little on the high side but you get what you pay for. Almost everyone was carrying out containers left from there meal. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive throughout our time there. They follow all covid protocols.

I don't just come for the food. (Which is amazing, recommendations below) It's the experience. Knowing the smile you'll see when you come in will surely make your day better is huge. Over the last 6+ years, I've loved getting to know many of the staff here. Ian, Katie, Brandon, Ryan, and Dwayne! They are not all but some of the amazing faces that you will see when you go in there.

Recommendations:
Chicken fried chicken breakfast, egg cooked to choice, and choice of accompaniment.
Avocado toast. Comes with 2 eggs cooked to choice.
Traditional Hungarian goulash, choice of cheese, choice of accompaniment.

Accompaniments:
Crepes: raspberry jam, strawberry
Waffle!
French toast: All of them!

Lastly, don't forget to put Fletchers' hot sauce on everything. Ask for some green chili sauce. Have some fresh squeezed orange juice, and let your batista make you a nice Austrian coffee! (:

I've been going here for so many years. Staff has always been amazing and the food is always above and Beyond amazing. Definitely 10/10
