The Market Place

This is a health food store in my hometown. I’ve lived in a city for a long time and didn’t think I could find what would be considered basics for a sprouts/Whole Foods here in Aberdeen. Behold, the marketplace. I’ve learned to make food from all over the world and eat like this regularly. I also practice herbalism and have found what I need for that as well. I’ve found basics for Indian, Thai, Japanese, and Korean food here. I’ve found black wild rice, different red rices, cleargel, Dead Sea Salt in bulk etc. They have a nice selection for gluten free baking. The stock here is proficient enough for those who cook foreign dishes or “food projects”. Prices can be higher here, but they are for different branded products and better quality products than Safeway or Walmart.

If you love Tea, this place is for you! The shop has an absolute ton of bulk goods, seeds grains as well as a wall of tea to make you swoon. They also have an extensive line of plan based dairy products, goats milk based cheese, along with tasty organic produce. A true gem in Aberdeen.

Excellent location for all your healthy foods and supplements. This is my go to store in Aberdeen.

I originally was told this was the go to place for essential oils by a friend. It is plus spices, fresh herbs, and so many other items we use. The employees are super helpful and they know the products. Thanks!!!

What a gem! Think small-town version of Sprouts or Whole Foods. Great selection of bulk foods, teas and spices, with a nice variety of everything else. Staff is awesome and very helpful. Prices are spot on too. So glad I finally stopped by here. Will now be a regular stop for me.

I love this place. I don't consider myself a health food type person and honestly I do consume a lot of junk. But Market has some snacks that are so delicious, I prefer them over many of my old junk food snacks! They have a big selection of different items. It's not all just food or vitamins. Really neat store with great staff members. I was looking for those little bar-lotion tins that are made in Washington and couldn't find them anywhere. They are perfect for my purse because they don't leak out like a bottle or tube of liquid lotion. Well, the wonderful lady here ordered some and now they keep it in stock. I highly suggest stopping in and browsing. You will definitely go back!

Went above and beyond the call of duty. Even to the monk fruit chocolate and chocolate chips in coffee. I am a first responder and seconds count. These two wasted no time in satisfying a customer. Thank you

Perfect place to stock up for an Olympic Peninsula adventure! We were grateful to load our cooler with fresh, organic foods. The house-made peanut butter hit the spot after long hikes and walks on the Pacific beaches. The store was clean and spacious, too, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

I love The Market Place! Healthy organic food, all the staples, tons of supplements and vitamins. Bread, milk, eggs and vegetables. Local honey, and you can make your own peanut butter. Loose leaf tea, and so much more besides that. Darn I forgot to buy those olive oil and sea salt kettle chips I love. I will have to go back.

I love this place. Great selection of healthy foods including vegan options. You can but just the amount you need of many items like spices, flours, beans, rice, grains, etc. Great nuts and seeds including raw. Very helpful staff.

This place is by far the best health food store in Aberdeen. They were great before they moved, and now they just got a store that looks a bit more polished.

They are also MUCH more affordable than other health food stores in Grays Harbor.

Crazy good selection. Bulk stuff, herbs, tea... Didn't expect to find a store like this in Aberdeen. Some stuff is too expensive. But that's compared to a regular store. But if you're looking for organic, free trade, etc. It's going to be expensive. But for the most part great prices.

Range of prices from bargain to expensive but high quality goods, throughout. If you need spices or an odd ingredient for a recipe, their bulk foods are an excellent option. Friendly and helpful staff. Often have tasty herbal tea available for free. Well worth a visit if you care about what you eat.

NOTE: it's easier to stop there as you're traveling West on the main drag. If you're heading East, you need to u-turn.

Awesome spice selection. I was afraid I was going to have to drive to Olympia to find Garam Masala, but they had some in-stock! (Along with just about every other spice and spice blend imaginable.)

UPD 12/1/18: The Marketplace will be relocating soon ~ 6 blocks W to Market St. I have been shopping here for years. They have lots of bulk foods (nuts, flours, grains, beans,...). They also have vitamins & supplements, books on a variety of nutritional & health issues, essential oils, and a lot I'm probably forgetting. Wonderful, friendly folks to help with any questions you may have. Stop by, it's a great place!

I went in not sure about what I needed as there are so many products that claim the same thing. The gentlemen who assisted me was very helpful and took the time to answer my questions, which were many. He didn't behave as though I was wasting his time, he truly was vested in assisting me. I would recommend any one who is thinking about incorporating healthy supplements into their life should definitely check out The Market Place.

Great place to get food for special needs, or just to have more confidence in what goes down the hatch. A great source of bulk foods, many kinds of grains, rices, flours, beans, dried fruits, vegan choices, condiments and supplements. Spices are priced to make you want to cook. No fresh fruit or veggies. Some frozen foods. Get yogurt and kefir starters here. Service is friendly and prices are on par with other retailers. Parking is easy.

Shop here at least twice a month. They have everything I need for tinctures, baked bread; in addition supplements, grains, herbs. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Really grateful to have the Marketplace in our town. ☺
