Pleasant place to stop for local veggies and ice cream. It’s my favorite ice cream around the area. Spacious and shaded Picnic Area with napkins. A fun family activity for all to enjoy.

Updated!!! Who doesn’t love fall decorations? A variety of color pumpkins, corn, peaches and plums.

Don’t forget to tip! They close at 9pm and most of us are already in bed.

I drive by this place every day and I had no idea that they have a huge sandbox and train for kids to play with while you eat ice cream on a swing. The ice cream is tasty.

We just love strawberry picking here year after year and then following up with their homemade icecream! I highly recommend visitiblng not just for the amazing tasting berries and icecream but for the memories you make! Eat as you pick! Then let your kids play in the sand pit after to get their sugared up energy out!

I recently watched a documentary on the preparation of frozen strawberries in factories - they cleaned them with chlorine 😱 -

Wouldn’t you rather pick your own straight from the vine in fresh air?! Wouldn’t you rather support your local farmers than big corporations? And wouldn’t you prefer to choose your OWN rather than having to take whatever is already prepackaged in a little plastic container in the so called “fresh produce” section?!

I have left about 3 to 5 reviews in my time so it’s super rare but I take the time!

We love coming here for ice cream. The flavor are so fresh and delicious, they have the staples that are alway in but they also have seasonal flavors depending on what fruit my be in season!
As if that weren’t enough, We have two kids with nut allergies and they go above and beyond to help keep our kid’s safe from cross-contamination. Never a complaint, they are always happy to help.

Our favorite place to get ice cream!!! Small, family-owned place, that only has outdoor seating, but seriously... they have the best ice cream ever! The butter pecan is my favorite, but I've never had one that wasn't amazing.

Can't beat picking your own strawberries! They are very reasonably priced too. They also have a little ice cream shop! Can't wait for blackberry season!

Mums were beautiful and a lot of bees 🐝 as well.

Fresh fruits and vegetables at Porters on NC 42. Their hidden secret is their homemade ice cream. A variety of 16 flavors are available daily. They'll also make sundaes and milk shakes.

Picking strawberries is great too, good quality time with the family picking some of the best strawberries! But you need to top it off with their homemade Ice-cream!

Really good ice cream. They also have good produce, but selection is a tad limited, of course that is depending on what is in season. Love this place. Honey is excellent <3

The taste of their ice cream is so delicious and fresh, adding to the fresh strawberries you can get there make me definitely recommend it to others.

Picked strawberries in the rain. They were so sweet. They did have some that were already picked you could purchase. Got some big tomatoes for slicing, they were wonderful ony grilled hamburgers.

We visit here so much during the year, especially during the summer season when they sell their homemade ice cream. Our son loves digging in the sand and playing on the playset there. We pick up our pumpkins here every year for Halloween!

Great date-place for me and my wife of 51 years. The ice cream was good as always.
Lest I forget, those working behind the counter are always sweet. I guess that would be the icing on the ice cream. 😃

This place is cute; fun to take your family to pick stuff or even just some regular in season produce. Staff is all super friendly. There’s a sandbox area that’s fun for kids to enjoy while u get ice cream- the ice cream here is great. U can also see their Facebook page for what’s in season.

STOP! STOP! STOP! If you want fresh strawberries, jam and ice cream you must STOP! The strawberry shortcake is a must.
