Nur Fortress

We stopped by the Nur Fortress at Nurota on our way to Bukhara from Samarkand (by car). This fortress was built by Alexander the Great. It is an easy walk and it is just some mud structures in ruins, but there is a sense of a clean and the historic to it. At the vantage point of the ruins you are also able to see Nurota in full aerial view and that was nice. There is a nice mosque with a holy sping next to the ruins as well. A quick stop that did not disappoint.

Hotel Nurota, está nuevo, situado al lado de los restos de una fortaleza hecha construir por Alejandro Magno, la suite es grande y económica, pero la cama es como una piedra de dura y la cafetería restaurante es francamente mala. El inglés no lo controlan casi nada.

De la fortaleza queda casi nada

The fort of Alexander the Great is just a clay hill. Dirt. No fort. There is a substantial newly-built infrastructure below. Hotel, amphitheater, children's playground.
