A restaurant in the heart of an amazing and small village, 10 minutes from the center of Mayrhofen.
A restaurant manager met us in the parking lot and escorted us to the table. The entrance to the restaurant was wonderful, everything conveyed to us that it was a restaurant with history and it was.
The place has an impressive wine cellar in terms of quality and quantity, the Somalian directly recommended us amazing wines and his choice was perfect. And the food, wow, every bite is a story in itself.
We arrived in the middle of a war in our country and the amazing Somalia showed knowledge of the situation and support for us and our way. I will definitely come back here many more times. I recommend to anyone who comes to the area to make a reservation and come here. It was perfect!

Went here for dinner on a Friday evening in January. It is a hairpin corner road up to the restaurant and parking is a bit limited. Interior is classic (wood) Tirol style. Menu is more sophisticated than most restaurants in the Zillertal valley. Food quality and taste was excellent. Serving size European. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth the drive up.

The dinner was a wonderful experience. The food was excellent and our server was definitely a pro.

I highly recomand this place to stay and to eat also. The landscapes and the food are priceless.

Amazing Austrian cuisine!! Must visit if you are in Zillertal. Extraordinary starters, main courses and dessert! We just googled on the spot, and were so lucky to have found this. We felt very welcomed by the host. Perfect treat after some snow activities in Gerolstein!!

Incredible local cusine with a bit of modern twist. Michelin 3 star service level in absolutly beutyful sorrendings. Plus roomy, clean, decorated with taste accomodation. Very helpful owners. The Best you can get in Austria.

What a bliss. Me and my family adored every moment and had the best dinner that we can remember. The food was simply excellent. We had the spring salad (best carrots we ever tasted), beef tartare, the lamp (OMG) and the saiblingsfilet and can recommend every single one of these dishes. We'd recommend you to try their apple juice
We have spent a whole week trying every good rated restaurant in the area and can confidently say this is THE BEST. An absolute must if you are around.
The service was SUPERB. They really went out of their way to create an unforgettable experience for us. The entire team deserves much kudos.
We are happy to spend our last evening eating out there again.

What an experience! Located on the mountain, the place is charming, the staff is friendly and kind and above all - the food was just delicious. Loved every second. Would come back to Austria just to eat here again :)

The owner is a lovely host who is always ready for a small talk and some good jokes. Besides that, he has a good feeling for good chefs which you can taste with every lunch!

Wonderful food: the "Holzknechtkrapfen" and the fish were fantastic. The dessert, typically Austrian ("Marillenknödel") was excellent. Staff always very friendly and attentive.

Found this Gasthof from reviews both on TripAdvisor and Google Maps. Saw the reviews and was surprised by how well people rated it; we had to go and see for ourselves, and let me tell you, it was fabulous!

A very cosy and calm family restaurant (we didn't stay at the Gasthof itself) offering great views over the valley below. Unfortunately, it was foggy when we were there, so we didn't get to see much.

In my opinion, if the view is great and food bad, then there is no point going, because then a restaurant has failed at its primary goal. This one was an amazing all rounder! Spectacular views, sublime food and fantastic service!

All of the food (incl. tea, water, etc.) was locally sourced and/or organic. The home-baked bread was served with butter (was really from a local farmer), a potato-cheese pâté (or paste) tasting similarly to Slovak bryndza. The soups were great (the portions could be larger), and for main course we had Wiener schnitzel with potatoes (not fries), and both were just spectacular.

Oh, and the service was absolutely fantastic.
Perhaps the prices could be a tad bit lower.

Overall, an amazing experience: we'll be back!
