Pension Gemshorn

Nice, clean and well equiped pension that offers big value for money. Very friendly staff and cosy wellness area. Kitchen has tasteful vegetarian/vegan options too. Wunderbar!

We had such a fantastic time at Pension Gemshorn. The Staff were outstanding, they truly could not do enough for us. There were 14 of us (4 kids 9 - 13) staying in a variety of well furnished and comfortable rooms. Most of us had a balcony, which was great to walk out on, and I should imagine they would be great in the summer to sit out on. Katerina and the team made sure to reserve us a table we could all eat and drink at every night. Special mention also goes to the waiting/bar staff Richard and Michela who looked after us so well, and of course the kitchen staff for providing such fantastic food. There is something for everyone on the menu, and they were more than happy to make adjustments as required. A few nights as there was such a large group of us Katerina asked if there was something specific we wanted cooking for the evening meal, she then went and purchased the ingredients for the kitchen staff to prepare our bespoke meal! There is a selection of the local Zillertal beer available on tap, cocktails as well as popular and local spirits at reasonable prices. The bar is of a traditional Austrian style (with it's own resident cat Mimi) which adds to the pleasant family ambiance.

Within the pension there is a well being area with Sauna, outdoor hot tub, steam room and relaxation centre. For such a small hotel I was pleasantly surprised how nice this was, the kids were even allowed to use it, very nice after a tough day skiing. There was also an area to remove your boots, place them on the drying rack and store your skis and poles too.

The hotel is situated adjacent to the Gerlossteinbahn which is very convenient for the tobogganing and snow tubing, with a small ski area available too, although we did venture further afield as the bus stop was also immediately adjacent to the Pension.

We were made to feel very special during our stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pension Gemshorn to anyone.

Stayed for one night but the staff was so friendly and helpfull it felt as if we had already been there a week. You are not a customer, but a guest! Rooms are nice, breakfast is tasty with plenty of choice. Dinner is local Austrian cuisine with a few Chzech specialties, decently priced!

I and my family are returning customer to this pension. I relly value the cost/benefit ratio here. In contrast to nearly all the facilities in the Zillertall, they are able to book any length of stay, starting any day of the week. This is FLEXIBILITY. Also, the proximity to the lift allows you to just go in the ski wear direct to the lift from the pension. I would also value the catering. To my view, last two years improved a lot.

Wir sind immer mal wieder nach dem Wandern auf ein Bier eingekehrt. Der Gasthof ist total gemütlich, die Wirtsleute mega nett und das Essen, z.B. die Knödelvariationen und das Schnitzel Wiener Art lecker. Kehren gerne wieder mal ein 😊

Julian en zijn team zorgen voor een hartelijk familiaal ontvangst. De kamers zijn zeer mooi en gebruiksvriendelijk. Materiaal kan gemakkelijk in ski lockers dicht bij de ingang. Wij hebben een zalige weekverblijf gehad. Ligging van het pension is centraal tussen gerlos en zillertal arena. 20 min rijden naar mayerhofen en kaltenbach. Wij komen zeker nog terug.

Wir sind Spontan auf die Idee gekommen Rodeln zu fahren und vor Ort uns was zum Übernachten zu suchen. ( 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder). Hier wurden wir so Herzlich empfangen. Trotz der Spontanität, haben wir ein Zimmer für alle bekommen.
Das Zimmer war sauber und die Betten bequem. Das Personal war super freundlich und einfach Herzlich.
Auch unsere Jacke (die wir dort vergessen haben) wird zu uns zurückgeschickt.

Wir waren über Weihnachten 2022 als Familie mit Hund in der Pension Gemshorn zu Gast. Der gesamte Aufenthalt verlief für uns alle von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise sehr angenehm. Das gebuchte Vier-Bett-Zimmer mit getrennten Schlafräumen war sehr geräumig, wodurch auch ein Aufenthalt mit einem Hund sehr angenehm ist. Alle Zimmer waren sehr sauber, die Betten sehr komfortabel und das Bad angenehm groß. Das Personal war durchwegs sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und sehr gut und das Abendessen lies keine Wünsche offen. Die Lage direkt neben der Talstation der Gerlossteinbahn ist nicht nur für Winterurlaube hervorragend. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Wir haben bereits wieder einen Aufenthalt für Weihnachten 2023 gebucht.

Jeśli szukacie w tej okolicy miejsca aby zjeść super pizze i napić się piwka lokalnego to to jest super miejsce. Obsługa mega super. Bardzo polecamy.

Top Personal, hilfsbereit, geben viele Tipps für den Aufenthalt, mega telefonische Kontakt vor der Anreise. Essen sehr lecker. Zimmer sehr sauber, super Lage direkt vor der Gerolsteinbahn. Aussicht aus dem Fenster unbeschreiblich. Wir sehen uns nächstes Jahr wieder👋

Wir wollten kurzfristig in den Weihnachtsferien noch einen Skiurlaub machen und da alles soweit ausgebucht war oder nicht bezahlbar sind wir auf diese Pension gestoßen. Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis ist Klasse. Die Zimmer sind einfach aber sehr sauber! Der Fernseher hat auch deutsche Programme ( nicht nur Tschechische wie in anderen Rezessionen gelesen) das Frühstück ist einfach aber trotzdem alles da, was man für ein gutes Frühstück braucht. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Pension liegt für uns auch recht gut, vorm Haus geht’s gleich ab auf die Piste sowie zum Rodeln. Wir können unterm Strich sagen, Familien sind willkommen und wir kommen bestimmt auch wieder 😊

Der Aufenthalt in dieser Pension war ausgezeichnet. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an familiär aufgenommen. Ein junges dynamisches Team was keine Wünsche offen lässt. Hilfsbereit, Zuvorkommend, Freundlichkeit für das alles steht dieses Team. Ihr seit Klasse! Die Pension ist sehr Kinder und Haustierfreundlich und ist schön gelegen, die Zimmer entsprechen der Beschreibung und sind sehr schön und sauber. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und Abwechslungsreich. Ein super Koch! Einfach eine klasse Pension und tolle Menschen.

Bardzo miła sympatyczna obsługa , przepiękny widok z restauracji . Czysto , pokoje przestronne . Ogromny plus za obsługę która była w trakcie naszego pobytu bardzo pomocna .

Skvělé místo, skvělý penzion.
Pěkné, moderní pokoje s výhledem na kopce.
Kuchař výborně vaří, personál mluví česky a je s nimi sranda 😄 Na čepu mají krom místního vodového piva také Plzeň! Bar vybavený i na koktejly, vše co jsme si přáli, to jsme dostali.
Přímo před ubytováním kabinová 🚡.

Posílám pěkný pozdrav z Karlových Varů a ještě jednou děkujeme za příjemný pobyt a především milou, přátelskou a rodinou atmosféru. Sehr nette Pension, sehr saubere Zimmer, total netter Wirt. Wir hatten uns wegen aktueller Wetterlage hoffnungslos verspätet. Ein später Checkin war jedoch überhaupt kein Problem. Bei der Abreise war er sehr behilflich bei der Planung des Nach-Hause Weges. Das war wegen aktuellen Strassensperrungen nötig. Schöne Aussicht, Zillertal-Arena ist in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Danke für Alles!

Hotel jsme navštívili několikrát. Vždy zde byl příjemný česky mluvící personál. Pokoje jsou čisté, na lyžáky jsou k dispozici vysoušeče, jídlo dobré.

Dobře vaří, umí česky i německy, hezký pension a ubytování, za mě 👍ale má to malou chybičku, na pokojích nejsou koše 😂

Dobré strategické místo pro výjezd do lyžařských středisek. Možnost sauny a whirlpoolky. Majitel je čech a tak pro nás co neumí,, Rakousky"😀to je příjemná varianta ubytování.
