Buchau-Hütte

We stopped here for a lunch during our visit to the Ghost Mountain and it was a really enjoyable stay. They have a large playground for children, so you have a way to entertain the little ones while waiting for your order.
Everything we order was really tasty and the prices were acceptable.
So if you are looking for a good place to rest a bit and have some food on the adventurous trip to the Ghost Mountain, this is definitely the right place

Great hut but rather expensive (2.80 - 3 € for an espresso??)

We ate here really good traditional Austrian dishes.
The place is so good for families because there are a funny area with some games for the children and you can keep an eye easily.
The staff is very kind and helpful.
The rates are very good being an isolated place in the mountains.
Fully recommended.

Im a ski-instructor in Alpendorf and the Buchauhutte is my favorite restaurant on the mountain! (Also really nice with kids) Good food and good prizes, the staff is super friendly and a special thanks to Silvia for all the lovely days that I had in the Buchauhutte this season! I will defenetly come back next year <3

Amazing place! Food is always fresh and delicious. You have good option of main courses. You have the choice for the menu of the day. The design of the place is absolutely amazing! They even have a slide which takes you down to the facilities. Staff is okay, the owner is amazing! Such a gentleman! Always says hi and always smiling.

The restaurant has beautiful decorations and is built with fun for kids in mind! Brilliant!

I skied for a whole season in alpendorf and the Buchau hutte was me and my friends number one spot to go to. The food is great but especially the personal working there are really nice. I lost my phone on the slope ones and they went searching for it for so long after i called them.
Overall the best place to go to for some good food or for a nice drink at their terrace!!!

We always stop here for food and drink when skiing in Alpendorf. Very nice Hutte between the Gondola upper station and the upper station of the 6-man chairlift. Update Aug 19: Still wonderful! Also great in the summer- great place to hike to and from.

We visited Alpendorf the weekend after the season had technically ended, so it was easy to find the seat we wanted and I assume it also meant the line wasn't as long to purchase food.

The music playing was fun and the view spectacular.

As the season had finished the weekend before they might have had a smaller selection of food available, or maybe they never have the wurstsalat (and similar items pre-prepared). However they were kind enough to make one especially for me :-)

€12.80 cost me that meal and it was very good. Best Tiroler Gröst'l in the area, staff friendly. However mind it is busy place, but no wonder for that

Awesome food, friendly people... make sure you do lunch here, during the winter, before 12 am or after 13pm... this way you skip the kids break!!

Very good self-service area. Kids classes usually stop here for lunch, and there's an interesting (and dangerous) slide into the WC area underneath.
