I was here for the second time. The first time during fog and snowfall. The second time, the expedition was planned during sunny weather. Amazing impressions. The view makes you reflect. It's worth being there. The routes are great too. Better snow for skiing than at lower elevations.

Absolutely incredible place! A must go if you are in the area! The views are amazing, and if it’s cloudy just give it 15-20 minutes and it can clear up. Try the glacier tour. It was quite unique and entertaining!

The best skiing in Austria. The snow all the year. Beautiful views, excellent infrastructure. Wide slopes, well maintained.

At summer you can also ski but that's not the main thing to do there. There was 45 cm snow.

There is a lot to do with the kids small and big. Lots of family time and fun, big tunes to slide on the snow with, beautiful tracks, the amazing views of the mountain top (3250m above ground) and more...

Well we had fun!

I had a great time on the mountain. This is a beginner friendly mountain. I've only been skiing for just over a year and had no major problems going down the slopes.

Banger snow, a lot of options so even if there's a lot of people they disperse very quickly. You rarely have to wait a notable time. Only """negative""" is that some routes are coloured in a questionable way but that could also be a personal feeling.

The most parts are not recommended for beginners, the blue slopes are also very fast.

Nice super long slopes with perfect snow!

Beautiful place. The cable car ride up was surrounded with beautiful waterfalls. Was a good start to the long hike that the day had in store. The hike up to the Hütte was a nice elevation gain but paths and roads in great condition. Even around the backside between the valley had well maintained trails that were well marked and offered great waterfall views and a look back up into the glacier in the distant valley where you could also take a cable car to.

Nice ski resort. Although you have to take lots of slow gondola to get to the top, there are some excellent slopes in this area. It does get very windy but the snow quality is good.

Easy to get to from Mayrhofen on the green line bus with a ski pass
3 stage gondola lift to top. First stop there are some nice easy runs. Second stop very nice self service restaurant and a sun terrace. At the top there are some stairs you can go up onto the roof of the ski lift. The runs at the top are not too difficult

My wife and I have been regular visitors to the Zillertal Valley for forty years. We spent our honeymoon in Mayrhofen in May 1983. Hintertux is very special to us as it holds special memories. In the spring or summer, we always take the cable car to the first or second stage, depending on the weather. Over the years, there have been many changes, but we still love it.

Best place for skiing ever

First time skiing and the high brought me Higher. I saw myself skiing as a Pro. Then I realized that I need more trainings.
It was divine breathing this cold, fresh, natural air from the mountains and the snow. Falling while skiing was like playing in and with the snow.
Tasting, touching, smelling it was for seeing its beauty, its intricacies and wondering how could such beauty exists and what should I do to honor it as a skier. And I found the solution: simply Love it.
And the glacier provides all the means to enjoy myself and my stay there. Free parking for cars. Free buses for skiers. Ski school for beginners and others. Gondolas. Ski lifts...
On my way from the entrance to the Tops of the mountains, I met the world: Ivorian, Burkinabè, Germans, Polish, Russians, Pakistani...

One of the best ski resort in Austria. If you have the chance, add this into your travel plan as the journey through the towns, valley and mountains is worth the time
