Wonderful waterfalls with easy access. There is an entrance fee, dogs allowed, and free. To the very top it is an 2h walk, the patch takes you very close to the main waterfall on many occasions and in different highs. On the top there is an restaurant. You can choose to go back the same path, or continue to see more waterfalls and come back differently. (Maybe a 4h hike)

Very nice place. You need to be in good shape, there are quite a few climbs around the waterfall, but after a very good path, it is also suitable for strollers. The second path down to the right of the waterfall is a lot of stones, there is not much of a view and it is not suitable for cats. You can go around the river above the waterfalls on a fairly straight road to Italy. There are still 2 restaurants from the beginning of this road.

The strongest waterfall in Europe. There you can walk three main trails, the shortest one is 5 minutes and the longest is 2.5 hours, you can also go to other trails from there. Strongly recommend.

It's a perfect place to be on a hot summer day. The hike to the top is quite steep, but the views are amazing. I suggest hiking boots. The path is mostly in a shade which makes it more manageable on a hot day. There are lots of rainbows to be seen near the waterfall and on viewpoins.
I strongly recommend to stand in the spray at the foot of the waterfall. Such power! Prepare to get soaked!
It's quite touristy so depending on a time of the day there might be a lot of people.

Visiting Krimml waterfall was an absolutely amazing experience! Standing near the cascading waterfall, feeling the cold water sprinkling on my face was incredibly refreshing and invigorating. The natural beauty of the surroundings added to the overall charm of the place, making it a memorable adventure.

Moreover, the experience was enhanced by the delightful treats available along the walking path leading to the waterfall. Indulging in nutella waffles and browsing through souvenirs added a touch of delight to the whole journey.

I highly recommend visiting Krimml waterfall to anyone looking for a breathtaking and enjoyable nature excursion. It’s an experience that will leave you with beautiful memories and a refreshing feeling, especially with the added pleasure of treats and souvenirs to cherish.

Wonderful place, the waterfall is incredible.
went together as a family of 4 ( one kid walks half way, one kid of 2 years old in the backpack) and climb all the way to the top to 1460m)

I honestly do not recommend parents to take strollers with you. The climb is easy above the 10% to 15% inclination.

However it is all worth the effort to the top.

amazing place. Take a taxi from below and take it up to the falls above, from there go down the track all the way down, along the way there are stopping terraces to see the falls and the river, spectacular photo spots. Highly recommended.

A difficult path, but the views are very rewarding. Be cautious as the path is very wild (not all have handrails), slightly slippery and the inclines are very taxing. Beautiful either way - as in winter or summer.

Amazing day and journey.
So I can explain to you some fees:
-you have to pay toll for the Gerlos road 9 euros
-the entrance for the waterfall only is 7.5 euros
-if you want to take a combi ticket(like i did) for the Water world + waterfall + parking (P4, P5) is 13.9 euros
It’s worth it😇

Take parking P4, get a token and buy a combo ticket for the Waterfalls and the museum. Your parking token will be validated at the counter and is fee is included in the price. We went to the very top of the falls and returned via the old trail on the other side of the falls. Nice walk and great views on the way up. The first part to the middle is crowded but once past there, the number of people drop significantly.

What a wonderful place to walk up just over 300 meters to .the summit of the highest waterfall in Europe. Several stopping points on the way up for photographs of the crashing medicinal spray. Allow yourself plenty of time to fully experience the amount of water tumbling down the hillside.

This is a great place to take the kids to help understand more about water, what it is made of and cycles from ground level, to the atmosphere and back again. The interactive outdoor displays are great, and can be refreshing on a hot day.

I recently embarked on my first hiking adventure to Trimml Falls in Austria, and I must say it was an absolutely breathtaking experience! The combination of stunning natural beauty, exhilarating trails, and the magnificent waterfall itself made it an unforgettable journey.

From the moment I arrived at the trailhead, I was captivated by the picturesque surroundings. The trail was well-marked and maintained, making it easy to navigate even for a novice hiker like myself. The scenic views of the Austrian Alps and the lush greenery along the way were truly awe-inspiring.

Wow
A must see wonder of nature.
If your trip to Austria includes a bit of nature, this is a good candidate.
It is a long drive but the way is also beautiful you get to see a lot of green pastures, nice roads and beautiful ski towns.
There is a 10 Euros toll fee for a private car..
When you get to the parking lots you have a few options: Hike all the way up (and back down of course), take a taxi to the middle of the waterfalls and hike back down or take a taxi to the top of the waterfalls and hike all the way down.

I combined options 2 and 3.
Took a taxi to the middle of the waterfalls (7 Euros per person), hiked all the way up and then back down.
The taxi ride is 5-10 minutes.
Hiking all the way up is a bit tough and takes 30 minutes.
Hiking back down is about 1 hour (more if you stop to rest and admire the view).

Note that where the taxi leaves you at the middle station, you get a pretty good view of the waterfalls and on the way down you also have a few places to view it.
The view from the top is not necessarily better but you get the satisfaction of the hike.

Very powerful waterfall
My advice: go all the way up, the view from up of the mountain is stunning.
A place you must visit for sure!

What to add? The most greatest and spectacular waterfalls in Austria. And highest. And with most water in it. And... surely everybody can find his own unique point. My tip is - go along the waterfall, and don’t stop anywhere and just go to the upper one - its like 2 hour walking trip uphill (really uphill). It is worth to see it from the top of it. Btw - dogs are allowed on leash in entire park...

Power and beauty combined in one. There are so many lovely spots to take photos. The Unterwasserfall is well worth it as you are standing in the mist of the water crashing down from above.
