Camping Freizeitsee Zenz

Amazing campground with a view to die for! We were there at the end of September and there was only 2 other Campervans. So it was strangely quiet and peaceful. Did I mention the view? The water was cold but we dipped our legs in. The fish were huge and jumping out of the water. You could rent boats if you like. The only down side was it was cash only, no credit cards or electronic payments. We went to the Grüner See which was another must see if you are in the area. Couldn't ask for more. The lake also hosts day visitors and I heard it can get quite packed during peak summer/warm days. Don't skip the chance to stay here if you are in the area.

One of my favourite campings in Austria. I went on from Sunday to Tuesday in mittle September and it was mostly empty so perfect to relax. Many hiking options around.

We really liked this place, green area, not crowded, calm and quiet. We came at the end of august, after weather got worse so camp felt kind of empty...therefore we liked it even more. We consider 37 eur for big camper van and 2+2 (adults and kids) as fair price.

Perfect! A quiet campground next to a fishing lake surrounded by mountains. There are a lot of facilities here such as small manual boats, a raft to climb upon in the lake and a small waterslides. There is a restaurant on site. There are a few huts that can be rented and we could choose our tent spot on the grass field freely. There is a supermarket in the small village, open on Sundays till 1500. The bathroom facilities are very good. The showers are the best I've seen at any campground, 4+ star hotel quality! Would definitely reccomend this spot. Mid July 2019 there weren't a lot of people, quite peaceful and pleasant. Owners were also very friendly and helpful.

We stayed there for 1 night with our campervan (7 people ~60€) pitches had fresh water and electrical connection and all spots are located right at the lake. Showers and toilets were nice and clean. Camping has a restaurant and is surrounded by beatiful mountains. Perfect stop if you plan to see Grüner see(Green lake) by foot its about 1 hour away. Truly amasing. Would visit again, we had a great time, reccomend.

Very nice place to stay, ideal for families (very calm). Also good starting place for exploring surrounding mountains and nature. Recommend!

Lovely campsite directly by a lake where you can also swim or rent s paddle boat. Big grass meadow to pitch your tent, but only a few smaller trees are scattered around. A restaurant is also available (kitchen until ca. 18:00), along with the nicest bathroom area I’ve seen in any camping place. Reasonable prices, parking outside is free.

If you are looking for a cute and silent and also a but hidden and not so crowed camping place, this is one spot not to miss. Absolutely fair pricing and lovely restaurant close but. Also fresh bread for the breakfast is available - always worth to spend a weekend there and just enjoy pure nature
