The museum is in one of the original airfield hangars and still has its overhead crane in situ !
Several exhibits are on display outside whilst inside aircraft and helicopters are packed into every available space and even suspended from the roof .
A great collection spanning several decades of Austrian military aviation with informative display rooms on the first floor including a He-162 replica .
Please check their website for opening times and prices as I visited during the Airpower22 open-days .

Tolles HGS Flieger Museum. Auf kleinstem Raum alles vereint, vom 1.Weltkrieg bis jetzt. Eintritt mit € 3.- (für Erwachsene, Kinder gratis) in diesen Zeiten geschenkt. Grosser gratis Parkplatz um die Ecke. Super interessante Führung von Militär personal. 👍💪 Sehr zu empfehlen

Für mich sehr interessant, aber das ist ja bekanntlich Anschauungssache. War eine sehr gelungene Führung, werde ich sicher wiederholen.

Interessante Ausstellung mit vielen historischen Fakten und Erzählungen!

Neben den Flugzeugen gibt es auch andere militärhistorische Exponate rund um die Luftfahrtsgeschichte in Zeltweg!

Wir besuchten das Museeum im Zuge der Airpower 2022. Das Museuum befindet sich auf dem Gelände des Fluegerhorst Hinterstoisser in Zeltweg. In diesem Museeum sind Objekte der Österreichischen Luftfahrtgeschichte mit Saab, Allouttes 2 etc. ausgestellt. Für jeden Luftfahrtinteressierten ein schöner Ausflug. Alle Exponate sind liebevoll restauriert und in Szene gesetzt. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank
