Hotel "Zum Jungen Römer"

We have been in Hotel Junger Roemer for the 5th time. It is far the best hotel in the whole Steiermark. It is located directly in the ski amade, you just walk out from the hotel and start skiing. The rooms are very comfortable with awesome view to the steiermark landscape, the heating in the room is perfect, in the bathroom everything works well. The breakfast, afternoon snack is rich and delicious and the dinner is michelin five star!. The staff is very pleasent, polite and helpfull. There is a non-stop swimming pool, sauna, massage available till evening which is excellent to use . The whole hotel is extremely clean. Nevertheless, the inside design and all decoration of the Hotel is very selective meeting high demands.
We also have to mention that in the past 7 years nothing changed, everything is running at the same high level standard. Congratulations to the owner. We will definately come back again, and again.

It was a combination of location, good and kind service, good food and room. Hotel is not new but is well conserved and clean. Rooms can look outdated but I like vintage and also hotels maintining their origins.

FOOD - The breakfast was a buffet and the quality I found was good. You could order too eggs and bacon and would be served to you. You could even breakfast outside in the terrace. The dinner was really great, served to the table and they have a wide selection of drinks.

LOCATION - is perfect - Located in a golf course, and you can also rent bikes and e-bikes and you can drive around to do sport. It is also close to other restaurants and hotels, so you can have a drink after for ex in a different place.

Service - Was attentive in general.

Room - we were lucky - had a great view over the mountains and the golf site.

They have pool and spa area. A little bit small but clean and we always had a chair outside withouth a space problem at that time.

There is also a small bar down below in the golf course (check opening schedule) where you could sit and watch playing the last hole of the golf course.

All in all, a place to live the origins and at the same time enjoy golfing, relax and other activities such biking (i.e. Taurista route), running in the surroundings.

Excellent. Peronally I like is a smaller retreat location, where I'm treatrd like a king and can disconnect from daily business and enjoy a short time off. Locationwise it is ideally placed, only a few hundred meters away from the slope.
The breakfast is rich, buffet style. The dinner is also generous (5 dishes) and most importantly the hotel has always new dishes. We stayed almost 1 week and there was no dish repeated! Needles to say, unless you ask, they do not serve "pommes" and similar. :)
In the basement there is a small pool and a sauna, free to use for the guests. Again a big advantage as there is no need to drive somewhere else.
All in all, I like it very much - we were there in the last 2 years - and I think we will continue going there.

Great hotel, staff, service, food. Exceptionally clean and very professionally run. Big rooms. Good location to base a ski trip. Ample parking. Wifi was a bit uneven. Will book again if returning to this area.

Staff is very friendly. The food is fantastic and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Ski lift is in walking distance.

Zimmer, Service, alles sehr gut, wie man es sich von 4* erwartet. Der Standort ist für Skifahren in Radstadt / Altenmarkt auch perfekt, nahe am Lift.

Das Frühstück ist gut, ich bin aber ohnehin immer schon von einer Semmel satt. Etwas „fischiges“ (Lachs, geräuchertes Forellenfilet vom heimischen Fischzüchter oder dergleichen) könnte vielleicht noch etwas Abwechslung bringen. Highlight für uns auch der Entsafter für frischen Apfel-Karottensaft.

Sehr schön auch die Wellnesslandschaft!

Lecker: Wenn man Nachmittags von der Piste kommt gibt es ein Kuchenbuffet und auch etwas Salziges (für die Nicht-Kuchenliebhaber wie mich) wie z.B. ein Süppchen, mal Weisswürste…

Aber Achtung: Nicht zu viel davon naschen, sonst bekommt man Probleme, das Abendessen zu schaffen. Und das wäre schade!

Denn das Abendessen ist das absolute Highlight. Immer Salatbuffet, Vorspeise, Suppe, Hauptspeise, Nachspeise und wer dann noch etwas schafft eine Käseplatte. An besonderen Tagen (z.V. Valentinstag in unseren Ferien) nochmal zwei Gänge mehr.

Und das Essen hat Sternequalität! Damit meine ich nicht Hotelsterne sondern die von Michelin.

Sensationell!

Mein Highlight diesmal (nochmal: alles war spitze!) war die weiße Paradeisercremesuppe.

Jeder aus der Familie sagte dieses Jahr unabhängig: „Ich will wieder zum jungen Römer, das Essen war so gut!“

Wir waren sehr überrascht von den besonderen Speisen, habe ich zuvor so noch nirgends bekommen. Großes Lob an die Küche! Aber auch an den Service, sehr liebe und sympathische Bedienung, tolles Ambiente!

Hatten einen spontanen Kurzurlaub und somit sind wir auf das Hotel Zum Jungen Römer gestoßen. War eine tolle Erfahrung und wurden liebevoll willkommen geheißen. Das hinterlässt viele positive Eindrücke.

Traumhaftes Hotel in der Natur - Sehr empfehlenswert!!

Schönes gehobenes 4 Sterne Hotel direkt am Golfplatz in sehr guter zentraler, aber dennoch ruhiger Lage inmitten einer ländlichen Idylle mit viel Grünflächen, Blumenwiesen und schönem alten Baumbestand. Hier findet man viel Ruhe, meditative Erholung und Entspannung. Dieses Hotel direkt am Golfplatz, eignet sich auch für „NICHTGOLFER“ so wie wir. Es hat eine sehr gute Ausgangslage für Wander-, Fahrrad- oder nur Wellnessgäste. Schöne geräumige Zimmer und das Personal waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war absolut spitze und geht schon in Richtung Gourmet-Küche (wir waren beeindruckt). Auch die Gastrolokation ist absolut sehenswert. Die Gastfamilie Stiegler gibt dem Haus auch eine sehr familiäre Note. Wir besuchen dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wunderschöne liebliche Landschaft, direkt am Golfplatz gelegen und somit grandioser Standpunkt und selbst für Nichtgolfer einfach com der Schönheit her wunderbar. Umwerfend herzlicher Service, grandioses Essen und man wird umsorgt in einer derart echten stilvollen TOP Gastgeber Manier... Das gibt's nur noch selten. Wir kommen baldigst wieder....

Ich war mit meinem Mann und meinem Sohn für 3 Tage dort und wir alle werden sicher wieder kommen!
Ein ganz feines Hotel mit super netten und sehr bemühten Eigentümern und Personal. Sehr sehr gutes Essen, tolle Lage (fußläufig zum Schilift) und sehr gemütliches Ambiente im ganzen Hotel. Massagen sehr kurzfristig buchbar, Wellnessbereich sehr sauber und lädt zum Entspannen ein! Klare Empfehlung!

haben meinen Eltern einen Golf-Urlaub mit Verpflegung geschenkt. Von vorne bis hinten hat alles super gepasst. Sie waren von der Freundlichkeit und der zuvorkommenden Art des Personals begeistert.
