Schloss Moosham und Apartments beim Schloss

I was here during a drive with the car and a sign at the street told me there was a castle in the neighbourhood so I went there to look. As I came there it was closed for a visit during this time a year so if you want to vist this castle look for openinghours on the internet.
The castle itself looks very charming and is sure worth visiting if open.

Amazing Museum to visit. The castle is very well preserved and has an extensive collection of objects. The tour guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, we highly recommend!

The castle has a very nice interior and there are many rooms that can be visited with a guided tour. Check the start times of the tours before arrival.

Very interesting for young and old. Small tip even if it is not mentioned anywhere that dogs are not allowed, it is advisable either to put your four-legged friends in beds in the car if it is not too hot, of course, or to leave them at home. Since there are quite a few narrow stairs and also narrow spaces.

Awesome experience, a very beautiful castle filled with history, small, but special, a must-see!

Privately owned, hosts a rich collection of furnishings, books, costumes and art from the sixteenth century onwards. The guided tour leads the visitor through a flight of rooms of great charm, there's a lot to see and to admire. I would say it's definitely not to be missed. We went there with two small children (1 and almost 3), be prepared to carry them on you. There are no kids-specific-attractions as you may find in many other places in Austria, but again the sheer awesomeness of this castle is sure to impress the little ones too.

This is a smaller, very well preserved castle with a very cool museum inside. This castle is supposedly haunted and was on a TV documentary and you can see it on YouTube. Very cool history!!

Well preserved castle which features a large art collection. It is private property but accessible to the public.

The only ability to see the interiors is a guided tour and this hour flies by. Features authentic showpieces and interesting comments by the guide.

Nice castel with nice view. It will open again on 1st of May 2021.

Ich kann nur von Schloss berichten und nicht von den Apartments.
Der Besuch war sehr spannend und das "Innenleben" des Schlosses ist vielseitig, allerdings dürfen keine Fotos gemacht werden von den Räumen, kann man sich auch besser selbst bei der Führung anschauen.

Die Burg ist für Mittelalterfans eine architektonische Fundgrube. In vielen Dingen detailgetreu dargestellt, vermittelt der Gesamtcharakter eine echte Burg! Die Räumlichkeiten im Innern sind mit einer Führung zu besichtigen. Da wir die einzigen Gäste waren, hatten wir quasi eine persönliche Führung durch die Burg. Wir empfanden die Führung als sehr angenehm, der gute Mann war sehr freundlich und mit einer Prise Humor ausgestattet, so daß es kein Abarbeiten der Räumlichkeiten war, sondern man bekam einen kleinen historischen Eindruck der fast 900 jährigen Geschichte.
Fazit: sehr empfehlenswert !

Super schönes Schloss mit sehr interessanter Geschichte und vielen tollen antiken Gegenständen. Es kommt einem sehr authentisch rüber da nichts auf Hochglanz poliert oder tot renoviert wurde sondern da und dort Staub liegt. Eine Führung ist zwingend da man ohne fast nichts zu sehen bekommt und auch nur so die vielen Geschichten um das Schloss erfährt. Leider ist dabei fotografieren nicht erlaubt, da anscheinend immer mehr Menschen meins und deins nicht unterscheiden können und schon viele schöne Sachen ev. auf Bestellung geklaut wurden.
