Grosseck - Speiereck Skigebiet

Everything was above expectations, clean, tidy, the ski resort has excellent access, suitable for families or top recreational skiers. I was very surprised because they specially arrange paths for walkers at 1,800m with ratraks. 🙂 The operators of the cable cars are very friendly, helpful, always available. The tracks are arranged, wide and safe. In short, I recommend it to anyone who wants good skiing or just a walk in the snowy landscape.

We stayed in Mauterndorf, small beautiful village situated very close to several ski regions. The local food is good and tasty, ski areas were perfect

Wonderful mountains, beautiful views, perfect skiing tracks! We visit the place almost every two years. Staff is friendly. You can eat delicios meals on the mountain.

A lovely week's skiing. The pistes were always well groomed. There were no queues for any of the lifts. Some of the chair lifts have heated seats and a plastic cover! A very compact resort.

I really loved this ski area! Retro charm, a relaxed vibe, fewer crowds than in Obertauern so no queuing for the lifts.
A great range of pistes for a small ski area; even the steep slopes are nice and wide. There is also a great fun park with jumps to visit.
Easy to access via the free ski bus from Obertauern 20 mins away.

Smaller and less luxury then Obertauern but you have to see this place as well. Another beatiful views on Tauer Alps.

Perfect relaxing skiing area. Enough kilometers of well prepared slopes for a short week.

A very nice resort. Not too large, but there are several very long nice slopes. Worth checking!

Small skiing resort but with some good slopes. Less busy than neighbouring Obertauern.

During our visit there weren't many people despite perfect weather conditions. Wonderful place for both skiing and ski touring. The high altitude ensures snow of an amazing quality and the lower parts provide quiet slopes and trails in the forest.

The cable car up the mountain was excellent. It meant that people that can't walk so much like my mum can still enjoy the views.

I see a lot of people going here during the winter. I went during the summer and it's just as beautiful. It's a nice calm ride to the top of the mountain. Once you're on top you'll have a great view over the valley. The mountain top also has several hiking routes. Beware during the summer it can easily be 20°C at the bottom of the mountain and only be 10°C at the top.

Beautiful view and great Ski slopes. There is a very good slope for beginners too.
