Haus Sonnwend

We had such a wonderful week at Haus Sonnwend and would highly recommend it. Kitty was so accommodating to all our needs and made us feel very at home. Breakfast was amazing - everything you could want and more. Very good / easy access to the bus links and ski resort. Would love to come back, thanks you everything!

I have stayed in many places throughout Austria and the hospitality at Haus Sonnwend is right up there with the very best. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with comfortable beds and large balconies. A big thank you to all the team who were absolutely charming and did everything they could to ensure we had a wonderful stay.

I must say I am super surprised. 👌 visited during summer, the manager lady was very kind and flexible to my needs. Highly recommend, especially if you are at a conference there. 👍 I am sorry I did not stay another day as I had a free ticket for the gondola..

Our most favourite place in the Austrian Alps! Gitti and her family always make us feel at home and know how to make your stay memorable! The guesthouse is wonderful and pet friendly. We've been coming for 4 years now with our dog and every time we have amazing stay!

To say I loved it there is a big understatement. Cozy, clean, spacious rooms, the most incredible breakfast you will ever have! I enjoyed it more than I can describe here, all that and top of it the amazing person and host Kity ! It was honor to have met and stayed in Sonnwend!

Is this the best hotel in the world? It probably is.

Rooms big & clean and well-equipped (incl. mini kitchen section). Balcony with sensational views of the mountains. Breakfast was a classic of the genre, including berry soup/smoothie, first class cheese board, wide choice of fresh fruit and cereal, and the best jam selection I have ever seen.

Host and all staff were excellent.

Also: the "Alpbachtal Card" is excellent: it gets you onto the chairlift for free, and has lots of other benefits.

Very nice local Pension. Room was large with space for 3, a small kitchen, space to sit and a good bathroom. Room looks very new and is quite practical. We had room 3 with direct exit to parking but didn't hear any noise. Breakfast was very good with huge selection and you can pretty much order anything. We had eggs but also fresh fruits brought. The host Gitti ja very friendly and helpful. Can definitely recommend if you go to Alpbach.

Amazing hotel, provides anything you could possibly need when staying. Great view on the mountains and exceptional breakfast.

We immensely enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. EVERYTHING was done well, from the cleanliness of the rooms, to the breakfast, to the ease of communication and helpfulness.

Really good breakfast all requests catered for, delicious choices. Excellent hosts Gitti and Sophie. Lovely clean rooms with comfy beds and friendly hosts.

Outstanding experience, Gitti ,the owner, could not do enough, she took time to sit and help us to explore every possible corner of Alpbach and surrounding areas, all with our needs, wishes and ability in mind. Her daughter and staff truly amazing.... We have encouraged friends and family of ALL ages and differing desires for their stay, ALL were extremely happy and many have returned. Including ourselves.. Ein hervorragendes Hotel und Wohlfühlendes und sehr sauberes Hotel. Wir kommen mehrmals im Jahr ins Alpbach un zu wandern und nur in dieses Hotel. Die Inhaberinnen sind unglaublich freundlich, die Zimmer total sauber und gemütlich. Das Frühstück hervorragend alles aus der Region und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Da können 4 Sterne Hotels eine Scheibe abschneiden. Für mich ist es eigentlich ein 4 Sterne Hotel. Kann nur jedem empfehlen

Nur zu empfehlen. Tolle Zimmer und das Frühstück war auch sehr gut und reichhaltig auf Wunsch auch Rührei,Spiegeleier... Und für unsere Tochter wurde sogar eine Waffel gemacht. Die Gastgeber sind toll wir würden auf jedenfalls wieder kommen!
