This is an super.pkace for experienced skiers. Many long great slopes. The blue easier ones are unfortunately mostly covered by t-lifts, which is a minus for beginners.

Overall large area with the connection with Hochfügen.

One of my favourite ski resorts with a variety of slopes all medium length and width. Slopes are all well prepared all lifts properly maintained and some quite new. Difficulty levels range mainly between intermediate (red) and beginners (blue). The few black slopes (expert difficulty) feel to me like mostly red, the slope down to the valley is a lot of fun. Views are awesome. Good value for the price.

Absolutely amazing ski resort with many many slopes for each category (school, blue, red, black) to go for skiing, snowboarding and sledge rides. It is a great place for learners, amateur snow sportsmen and professionals. Very good place to bring young kids too since the slopes are very wide. Easy to train atmosphere and topography. There is a big cash-desk at the bottom with many bars and restaurants. €47 is what I paid for the ski-lift for a day. There are many rental stores for sports equipment at the base. Free maps of the slopes ofcourse are available... Free parking is like cherry in the cake.

It's a fairly big ski resort with lots of blues and reds. We usually go for one day but imo it could be interesting for a longer trip as well. Several restaurants / huts around. Never had any problems with the lifts and gondolas either. Definitely worth going!

One of my most favorite Austrian ski-resorts. I do not often come to the same destinations but this place has someting to tell. Great modern cuisine - do not forget to visit KristalHutte + Albergo Panorama restaurant. We prefer to pair it with Hochfugen ski resort as there is better skiing in the morning till noon - great black slopes - wide and not crowded. If you come back to Hochzillertal around lunch time slopes are getting bumpy and very crowded, so better to stay on the other side of the mountain. Must be great during powder days as the resort has great powder hillsides. And they open from 7:30, so get ready to get uo early, it is worthy!

Beautiful resort packed with around 60km of skiing and a clear map of the area. Hungry mid ski? Stop at a number of Alms some providing traditional Austrian food and others more conventional food to fit everyone's taste.

We skied a number of areas in the Valley - Kaltenbach had our favourite slopes - really nice wide blue and reds and plenty of more challenging runs, if you want them. We stayed in Fugen which is only a short shuttle bus away. The Gondolas and lifts are very modern and efficient, as they are across the Zillertal. We also enjoyed the connected Hochfugen. Our Trip was 19-26th Dec it was quiet no queuing, but enough people to have an atmosphere. The food, service, and conditions were also great. Super holiday.

We tried many different Ski Schools in dfifferent countries. Ski optimal is the best as for the organisation, teaching, lunch opportunities and positive approaches for the kids. Our daughters at 5.5 years old had Tina as instructor. She was very kind and also very effective teacher.
I do extremely recommend this ski school for families with kids.
