Definitely a great ski resort with various slope difficulties. The slopes are also long enough to enjoy the ride. Once you get to the top you have many options how to go down from blue to black, so everyone can enjoy it.

I was there for the second time, not the biggest ski resort, but you can find there all you expect from ski resort 😀

I love to to Funningberg for deep snow and powder. You can have so much fun there of slopes.

I went skiing here recently and it was amazing. I have never skied before and for my first time it was beautiful. The scenary changed everything and the slopes where amazing

Really good, fun ski area. Especially suitable for beginners and for those who skipped a few seasons and want to get back in shape. Recommended for learning snowboard basics: wide tracks with reasonable slope.

One of our favourite. We were very sceptical first when we got the recommendation but this is one of the most enjoyable slope around this area. I’m an advanced skier and was a beginner snowboarder the first time around and it is great for both. But especially great for snowboarders.

This is actually my favorite ski resort in Lungau. It has great slopes for beginners but also some challenging ones. The view up there is amazing and the Skihütten have moderate prices with really, really good food. I will definitely go again.

Friendly and family focused resort. Not huge and not much for really advanced skiers but great fun for everyone else. The pistes are very well maintained. Huts are great but don’t expect much by way of Apres Ski - there is only one small bar that opens lateish. The chalets and apartments on the slopes are super.

Ah yes Fanningberg. Out of the entire valley this is by far my favourite skiing location. When there is no snow it still tops my list. The slopes are well groomed. As well as being long (compared to other slopes in the area) and wide with a great selection of blues, reds, and blacks. There are only two chairlifts (and 3 t-bars) but not counting the size of the area, I was still able to satisfy my needs. But it is not the slopes that grabs my attention... it's the powder. When there is enough snow, you can ski through the trees, glide over the powder, practice your tree-trunk jumps, and so on. That is what I enjoy so much of Fanningberg for.

A locals tip: one you get to the top of the first chairlift turn left and go to the restaurant opposite that pizza place (same family). As someone about the sledding. The kids with have an amazing time.

Best small ski resort there is! 30 something km on 14 or 15 ski routes that are served by two high capacity gondolas (one of them heated). Great for the first one or two days from a week skiing in the Lungau area.

Excellent smaller (for Austria) ski area. Long slopes, free-ride possibilities. Nice difficult (black) slopes. Good condition even in spring time (2016).

Small resort, usually not very crowded with excellent snow conditions and some off-piste options. I even prefer it to Obertauern, especially for 1 or 2 days skiing.

Small but lovely ski resort. Very family oriented.
