Very well organized transport from the center to the lower cable car station using a fast cable car. Access to the mountain without unnecessary queues, comfortable transfers, clean, convenient, smiling staff everywhere. At the top, beautiful views, restaurant, cafe, shop... equipment rental. I recommend it as probably the biggest attraction in Innsbruck.

If you are in Innsbruck you have to go to the top of Innsbruck. There was no snow in the city Center but the snow on top of the mountain is so pretty. You get to see the magnificent view of Innsbruck from above. Be sure to get the Innsbruck card before you go up. It covers the entrance fee of other museums and the cable car for the top of Innsbruck so the cost less than when you’re getting tickets separately.

When in Innsbruck, this is the best place to be, whether you are a tourist or here for skiing.

I recommend buying tickets online in advance for a seamless experience, and one can also combine an Alpine Zoo ticket with a Nordkette Bahn ticket.

The view from the top feels like one is in paradise, and we really had a great time here enjoying the snow and the view.

Buy your tickets the day of, check weather conditions first, if nice, Yes, just do it, well worth the price of admission!
Easy to get to if you are in the old town section, just a short ride from Congress station and you are there!
Would definitely recommend the proper attire if going to the summit, you will need it as you have to trek up the path, and be unable to with the wrong shoes on.
Views from the top were not clear for us as it was cloudy, but you can see from others pics, it’s spectacular!
They also have a nice restaurant midway that we ate at, good food and drink to be had, with great views from inside or even better from outside tables (dress warm).
On our visit, they had free sleds and seated single ski recreational fun for those who wish to try on a very small hill. (Midway up prior to summit)
There’s also a restaurant at the top cable car stop, only indoor eating was available.

This is an incredible place to visit. It’s amazing to take the trip up here. Stop at the zoo on the way, have a beer at another stop, and then head here. The views are like nothing I’ve ever seen. I think you can buy an Innsbruck card to help reduce the price. Often your hotel can help you get them. Ours did, anyway. Enjoy.

Excellent trip stopping at the stages of the cable car stations. Not a skier but great to watch those who are. Food and drink available at reasonable prices. Day was cold but sunny good to relax on deckchairs taking in the great views.

Beautiful day up on top of Innsbruck! This was an awesome experience on Christmas Day and we got to have our own “white Christmas”! Such beautiful views and our son was able to sled in the snow a bit. I definitely recommend this adventure!

Cold at the peak, about 11C, super windy and rained when we visited in mid September. Recommend to bring clothes/gloves to keep you warm and rain gear as well. A few trails to go around, must wear shoes with good grip and closed toe shoes because rocky terrain.

Cold and beautiful! The small restaurant at the top has nice beer, and the goulash soup was great.

An icy ascent once I got off the last stop of the cable car. It was worth every icy step up and slippery step back down. The views alone should drive you to the top.

Amazing view from the top. Nice and smooth cable car ride up. Easy and moderate difficulty hiking at the top, or a grueling hike all the way up or down if you must. The cable car itself gets very busy and they cram a lot of people on one ride. Try to find a quiet time slot if you can.

Highly recommended in your itinerary for Innsbruck. It is accessible by cable cars and you will be awestruck by the engineering as well as a very promising hike with beautiful views all around. I would recommend a day to visit the summit, soak up some sun, enjoy the restaurant and while coming downwards also pay a visit to Alpine zoo on the way which is one of a kind.

Our trip was delayed by the previous days rain and then avalanche blasts in the morning and slightly limited by the blizzard at the peak but the perfect end to a day journeying up the Nordkette

Great experience especially to escape 33c in Innsbruck! Bought tickets direct from operator online meant we did not have to queue at the ticket offices at the stops and could express all the way through. No additional cost. Restaurant at the very top is closed but the restaurant at the penultimate stop is great with amazing views and service.

Be aware that the last train back from the top is at 17h. I recommend going in the morning. Tickets can be bought there or online.

Why miss being at the top of Innsbruck when in Innsbruck. Use the cable car to reach the top and have excellent view of Innsbruck from the top. You need to change cable cars to reach Hafelekarapitze.

This was a pretty epic day out. Our Family
Of four walked back down. The kids had never seen snow before. So the overnight’s dusting on top was a special discovery.
The walk down was spectacular. Just a great day.
