Great food, very cozy, comfortable seats, very good service

Everything was amazing but the only bad side was that you can only pay with cash

One of my best experiences so far.

What a nice place to pause during your adventures on the Zillertaler Hohestrasse, especially if you’re with younger kids.

There’s a playground where kids can play with water, run around, swing, run around, walk a bit along a short route. Well, a lot of things to make kids (and thus, parents) happy.

The view is good, quite some parking space in front. Food we tried was great, but be honest: eating kaiserschmarn in the sun while the kids are playing is worth a 5 star review in itself.

Friendly personnel, prices are good for up that high. Only downside, only cash payments.

Very friendly staff, good food, nice location. We had soup, chili con carne, coffee, tea, and schnapps.

Great place with delicious food. We totally recommend. We had noodlesuppe, grilled sausage (there are two in one portion and it is great) and the wildbratwurst with sauerkraut which was really big and very tasty. The best germknodel with butter I ever had! Perfect!

This is a must visit if you're skiing around. Head to wildspezialiaten page and course from there. We had the schnitzel, gulasch and wildbratwurst. The schnitzel was good, but somehow I think that good meat does not deserve breading;) the grilled sausage and stew were both very very delicious. The portions are very generous so unfortunately we had to skip dessert.

Great spot for hiking in October, and delicious lunch afterwards. Even saw some wild deer nearby. Kitschy children's play areas and a few animals behind the hut.

Even though the restaurant is a bit off the slope it's very full. No wonder - the food is amazing. I can totally recommend Hirschgulasch, Kaesespaetzle and Kaiserschmarn. The prices are lower than in the top restaurants around the slopes.

Best food we had in the whole Zillertal. You definitely must try the deer stew with noodles. Nice staff and spacious hut.

Best price/quality in the whole ski area. Nice and quiet area outside. Friendly staff. Would rate it 6 stars....

Awesome hut that is not as hyped as Wedelhütte, but has a great vibe, friendly people and delicious food!

Die am Rande des Skigebiets versteckte Skihütte Kaltenbach überzeugt im Vergleich mit allen anderen Hütten vor allem durch ein 1a Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Die Portionen haben eine ordentliche Größe und schmeckten wunderbar. Dadurch, dass sie etwas abseits liegt, war sie auch nicht so überfüllt wie so manch andere Hütte.

Das Personal war total warmherzig, gut gelaunt und vor allem authentisch.

Wir kommen nächstes Jahr definitiv wieder.

Wizyta w sezonie zimowym. Polecam. Regionalny klimat, smaczna kuchnia, szybki serwis, dobre piwo również bezalkoholowe. Warto podjechać tutaj na zakończenie dnia na nartach, bo po specjałach kuchni trudno potem jeździć 😉. Później wyciągiem, który znajduje się kilkadziesiąt metrów stąd łatwo dostać się do trasy prowadzącej do gondoli na zentrallstation.
