Stubnerkogelbahn

One of the most beautiful cable cars journey I have had in my life. The trip on the top is breathtaking as you are surrounded by those beautiful mountains. When you get to the summit at 2300m you can walk and visit a Christ sculpture that is superb and then walk to the famous suspended bridge! A must do experience. You have also the chance of starting several walking trails and to visit 2 suspended platform with a beautiful view. If you have kids, within the station at the top there is a fantastic fun center with a lot of toys, playgrounds and game. This is great fun for little and older kids. There is also a nice restaurant but we have not tried it

A scenic cable car ride that takes you to the top of Stubnerkogel mountain from Bad Gastein via 1 stop. Tickets can be purchased for the full way or half way or round trip. Some prefer to hike up the top or bottom half and take the cable car rest of the way. The view from the cable car of the surrounding mountains is amazing.

A typical alpine cable car that takes you up to the Stubnerkogel peak. Tickets booked online are cheaper, you just need to book them at least one day in advance to get the best price. There are plenty of attractions up there, a suspension bridge and several viewing platforms. Amazing views everywhere you look.

Extremely beautiful and stunning views. I would recommend to take the cable car to the high top, then visit the suspension bridge and then hike down to the middle station. Enjoy walking around horses 🐎 and cows 🐄 in the beautiful nature.

Out of all the mountains in this ski region, we enjoyed this one the most. Lots of red ski slopes, but if the weather is warmer, expect some slush after lunch. they hang bridge and the viewing platforms are very nice addition and you can enjoy marvelous views.

Walking in the air without fear. And you can even dance 💃. Everyone would love it.

His place is amazing, the views are just absolutely incredible. I really enjoyed it. If you are near Salzburg this place is a must to visit. Lovely restaurant at the top as well. If you enjoy ski it is just great.

FYI there are bag storage lockers next to the restroom here at the bottom of the cablecar, as well as at the top! Takes 1€ coins. Suitable for up to medium-sized luggage.

Cablecar tickets are a bit cheaper if purchased the day before.

We’ve been in the end of September. Great view. The longest cable car I’ve ever been in. Make sure the visibility is good in that day.

Very easy access to the top of the mountains (just get on and the gondolas take you all the way to the top, no switching in between). The views are spectacular above (also in summer). Free entrance (1 ascent & descent) with the Salzburgerland card
