Super!
Super spacious rooms (they're called apartments for a reason), very nice ambiance. The copper theme is well executed without being overdone. The spa has a large Finnish sauna, a steambath, relax room and good showers in a secluded area from the regular pool (both indoors and outdoors).
The location is in a beautiful green valley, both convenient for winter and summer activities. And the service is excellent. Very friendly and attentive staff. The reception was very welcoming, and the bartender kept very much up to par with that. Well deserved 5 stars. Vielen dank!

I have been to many luxury hotels but this one is magical. Beautiful pool, very comfortable rooms and very friendly and professional staff. I recommend visiting this hotel and enjoying every moment. The best hotel in all of Austria.

We arrived late at night, the hotel stuff waited for us and was very kind. The service was amazing during our entire stay, the breakfast was incredibly tasty. The suite was so nice and the view was lovely. The hotel location is right near a horse farm and the place is very kids friendly. I highly recommend this as a place to stay in wagrain.

5 stars! We had a wonderful time with two small kids. The team is wonderful! Anna, Nadin , Christopher and the rest made us feel welcome and helped in any way. Our apartment one the ground floor was exactly what the kids needed with a straight excess to the garden, with a lot of play area and sand and tractors. The spa was beautiful (we wished the water were warmer 🥶)

First the nice and helpful staff of the hotel, there are no words for the good service they provide and especially Anna.
Second, the rooms... wow, it's unbelievable what a charming design. A very high class hotel, the room is fully equipped, the pool area is gorgeous and there is a large and beautiful playground for children...

Breakfast awesome. Make sure to ask for scrambled egg w. Bacon 😀 We could easily live off two meals per day with the latter being a late lunch in the slopes.
Interiors are great, brand new and modern.
Spa was exactly as we wished. One dry and one wet sauna. Great fruit water in the sauna, very refreshing!
Service was prompt and great. Always nearby.
Walk to skilift is doable and great storage facilites in the basement.
I didn't see much for kids here, no playroom. Which was great when you've left the kids back home! 😉

In juli '24 onze 8-daagse vakantie in Oostenrijk/Wagrain in The Matthew doorgebracht. Groot succes en aan te bevelen, de goede reviews delen we zonder enige twijfel.

Van ontvangst tot vertrek hebben wij ons enorm welkom gevoeld. Het hotel is aangenaam kleinschalig, de kamer ruim en comfortabel, de afwerking is luxe en met oog voor detail. Zwembad binnen/buiten heerlijk, er is genoeg te doen voor de kids en het ontbijt was iedere ochtend heel goed verzorgd.

Dank aan het team van The Matthew en Anna, Nadine en zeker ook Jaro in het bijzonder!

Der Aufenthalt war in allen Belangen atemberaubend. Sehr geschmackvolles Ambiente. Unsere Unterkunft glich eher einer Wohnung, als einem Ferien-Apartment. Toller Ausblick vom überdachten Balkon in die traumhafte Landschaft. Sehr schöner Wellnessbereich mit Schwimmbad, welches durch eine automatisch betätigte Glastür den Innen- vom Außenbereich abtrennt. Großer Garten mit zusätzlichem Badeteich und weitläufigen Liegemöglichkeiten auf der Wiese. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, welches entschlossen ist, jeden Wunsch des Gastes zu erfüllen. Gutes Frühstück, wo auch Sonderwünsche kein Problem sind. Zudem ist eine Lademöglichkeit für Elektroautos vor Ort verfügbar. Insgesamt waren wir sehr begeistert.

Unser Aufenthalt im The Matthew Hotel in Wagrain war einfach wunderbar!
Wir, zwei Erwachsene und ein Kleinkind, hatten das Vergnügen, sechs Nächte in einem der Appartements zu verbringen und können dieses Hotel ohne Einschränkung weiterempfehlen.

- Der Poolbereich sowie der Spa-Bereich des Hotels sind absolute Highlights. Die Poolanlage ist großzügig gestaltet und bietet sowohl für Erwachsene als auch für Kinder viel Spaß und Entspannung. Der Spa-Bereich überzeugt mit einer Vielzahl an Angeboten, die keine Wünsche offen lassen. Nach einem Tag voller Aktivitäten in den Bergen war es ein Genuss, hier zu entspannen.

- Die gesamte Hotelanlage ist bemerkenswert sauber und wird sehr gepflegt. Unser Appartement wurde täglich gereinigt, was unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Es ist deutlich zu spüren, dass das Hotel großen Wert auf Hygiene und Sauberkeit legt.

- Das Personal im The Matthew Hotel ist durchweg freundlich und zuvorkommend. Vom Empfang über das Reinigungspersonal bis hin zum Barpersonal – alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr bemüht, unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Eine Ausnahme beim Personal gab es, aber das tat dem positiven Gesamteindruck keinen Abbruch.

Wunderschöne Außenanlage und Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder.
Die Außenanlage des Hotels ist ein Paradies für Familien. Es gibt zahlreiche Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder, die unsere Kleine begeistert hat. Besonders hervorzuheben sind auch die Ponys, Alpakas und der Esel, der nicht nur bei den Kindern, sondern auch bei uns Erwachsenen großen Anklang fand. Die gepflegten Grünflächen und der liebevoll angelegte Garten laden zum Verweilen und Entspannen ein.

Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist, dass wir vor Ort unser Elektroauto laden konnten.

Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt im The Matthew eine rundum positive Erfahrung. Wir können dieses Hotel vorbehaltlos empfehlen und freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch in Wagrain!

Super schöne Neue Hotel Anlage . Das Personal super freundlich, und sehr hilfsbereit . Der Wellness Bereich ist lässt keine Wünsche offen . Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt . Und zählen den Aufenthalt bei the Matthew zu den schönsten Urlaube , die wir als Familie bis jetzt hatten ..

Sehr freundliches Personal und wunderschöne Zimmer.
Die Spa-Zeiten könnten jedoch meiner Meinung nach besser angepasst werden. Die Textilsauna öffnet um 13Uhr, Dampfbad und finnische Sauna erst um 15Uhr. Ideal wäre, wenn das Dampfbad auch schon früher in Betrieb wäre, ansonsten war alles bestens. Saubere Räumlichkeiten, beheizter Skikeller, räumliche Nähe vom Skigebiet und sehr große Auswahl beim Frühstück.
